I saw that above video. Here is the thing, I agree heavily with much of what he says. That says, at this point the series is in a pick your own story type place. You can follow whichever thread you like, or heck you can even ignore the sequels after Terminator 2. I lean towards no film after Terminator 2 added anything that I would revisit, so effectively the series ended there for me. At no point do I see myself watching any Terminator film after that basically ever. They're just not good enough
So I'm not really bent out of shape about any of the decisions this particular movie decided to make. If you really enjoyed this movie and want to consider a proper third film, then good for you. I just didn't think it was good enough as a movie for me really to care
