I still haven’t watched the anime and I recall that being rather well-received, but I really do think it’s time to call it a day with this one. Any new movie is fighting for third place at best.

The anime was good, if they want to continue the franchise in ways like that or video games I'd be down with it but they really need to throw in the towel with movies. Dark Fate bombing and having an overall meh response from critics and fans even with Cameron's involvement might as well have been a death knell.
