Just imagine Arnold as Kyle Reese.

As someone who has shown a bit of faith in this from the start, these pictures are not exactly encouraging, but I think a trailer will tell us a lot more about the movie personally.

At the same time, Emilia Clarke is just gorgeous.

I know in the 80s the big hulking guy as the villain was cool but later on they went with having more cold and calculating looking people as Terminators like Patrick and what's her face from T3.

I believe Cameron wanted Lance Hendriksen to play The Terminator because the character was supposed to look like a regular guy.

A trailer won't tell us anything about this film. Let's not forget the brilliant trailers Terminator Salvation had and how they completely misrepresented that film.

Well, I never had faith in that from the start with McG involved and him getting simple things like the T-600 wrong. If they at least look on the right track with this I will remain hopeful.

Lance Henriksen was originally considered to be The Terminator, and IIRC so was Jurgen Prochnow. Cameron meant for the Terminator to be an average-looking guy, and never intended this hulking he-man like Arnold until he met him.

With T2, he went back to his average-looking Terminator with Robert Patrick to avoid being repetitive with another bodybuilder.

The one thing I've never understood about ANY of these films (even the good ones) is why the machines make all the Terminators (by model) look the same. It's obviously just done that way so Arnold can keep showing up but still... if the idea behind the Terminators is to infiltrate the humans and kill them, people are going to recognize them pretty quickly, especially if they stand out in a crowd as much as a guy like Arnold does.

This series ended with T2, everything since is bad cosplay fan fiction. I thought that was it for the franchise after salvation but I was wrong there must be more room to pee on the remains.

Yeah, but at least T3 introduced Kristanna Loken to the world. That role propelled her career a little bit, which may have ultimately helped her land those steamy scenes on the L Word.

And for that, we thank you.

And the 3 is basically a remake of the 2, since the plot is almost identical.

I stand by what I said. Forget the trailer. Wait for the movie.

But didn't it also help her to go on and do the BloodRayne movies? nah no thank you. :o

I doubt the original plan was for all of them to look the same, for example, in Kyle's flashback/forward in T1, when a Terminator infiltrates the base and causes havoc, that was a T-800 and it wasnt Arnold, I think just after the story unfolded in T2 and that trailer for T2 came out with all of the Arnolds coming off an assembly was so popular they ran with it. Of course, I dont think Cameron ever intended Arnold to be the only T-800, other directors that came after seemed to run with that more.

And I stand by what I said thank you. A good trailer doesnt mean a good movie, but I think you can normally tell if something will be good or bad based on footage.

Almost all of the pictures are bad but damn, that picture of Matt Smith is just the worse :csad:

And I stand by what I said your welcome! :hehe: Terminator Salvation had great looking footage. I was here when those trailers hit. Everyone loved them.

I don't understand the anger of the photo's. They're really ****** photo's, but they're from an EW promo shoot, no? We're not looking at production stills are we?

"SHUUUUUTUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP!!!!!!!!"

Yeah I really thought Terminator Salvation was going to fix the franchise after the mediocre T3, but I was wrong. That movie was awful.
