Terminator: Genisys - Part 4

Do you think Arnold actually understands the plots of these movies?

I bet Arnold is a very intelligent man.

I would hope so, but really, he doesn't need to get it, and I'm cool with that. It's kind of like Michael Caine in Inception or Interstellar... Does he actually know what the hell is going on? And should he?

But still, it would be fascinating to be on the set of one of these films where the director is trying to explain the scene to him, and just seeing the interaction.

The simplest explanation for me is that everybody who works on a movie claims enthusiasm in public both as a job requirement and as wishful thinking. It usually has nothing to do with their intelligence or wisdom.

Tom Hardy freely admitted to some British talk show host that he doesn't know what the hell is going on in Inception.

All that matters is if the actors act like they know what they're talking about onscreen.

He is. So's Sly, Dolph etc.

These 80's/90's muscle bound action icon guys get a bum rap in the brains department, but it couldn't be further from reality in several cases.

No one in the industry is stupid, really. A lot of that **** is just them playing to the camera. Even the people that make stupid comments in the media aren't stupid, they know what they're doing.

Or don't, they'll put it up anyway.

I bet Arnold is a very intelligent man.

Legend has it he was a self-made millionaire before he was 30 thanks to a number of smart business investments he made, so by the time he became one of Hollywood's biggest stars in the 80s making movies was almost more of a hobby than anything else.

That same IQ apparently failed when the maid was walking by on that faithful day at the mansion...

Sly is also smart, but his hubris gets the better of him. Same thing with Arnold.

It's been going on for the past two hours, and it's still @9 percent.

All those things are scams, anyway. They release when they want, but try to build excitement and drive traffic to their site in the meantime.

Teaser pic. Oof, that CG is rough. I remember talk about how the make up made it look like the endoskeleton eye was on the outside rather than inside. Same could be said about the CG here.

really..oh boy. The lighting is off. Like it the 'metal' is superimposed on there, which is was. Movie magic ruined!

Oh my god...why would you even release that as a teaser pic?

I think in time, if Terminator Genisys does suck (I'm still rooting for it) and Mad Max Fury Road rules, 2015 will teach us how to do a requel right with Mad Max, and how to do a requel wrong with Terminator.

What the heck is a "requel"?

Still stuck at 26 percent.

Too many people watching Game of Thrones!
