You guys should watch this. Really good analysis.

After forgetting about this trailer's existence for two days, I finally watched it.

I just... don't know. In a way that Back to the Future 2 type idea is very cool. But this movie is entirely dependent on execution, which I'm doubtful of.

Excited for this, T2 is my absolute favorite. But I love them all, even 3 and salvation. I actually like Salvation a lot.

Based on what I have seen, I'm willing to give it a chance.

Celebrity Commentary: TERMINATOR GENISYS TRAILER with ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER

I wonder for how long skynet had a functional time machine and for what purpose?

Obviously we know they use it as a last attempt to win the war but surely they didnt build it in the final moments so what was its use?

Also what if young Sarah and the T 800 have been working on building a time machine since she was saved by him

Out of all of the trailers that have debuted for next year's blockbusters, I have watched the Genisys one the most...which is a surprise, considering my enthusiasm had not thawed when it was announced. However, I am quite pumped for the film; even in the worst case scenario, I will like the film cos Arnold's back. So, it is impossible for me to not like the film.

Trailer makes my head hurt :(

Is this movie going to be one those

" I didnt understand inception"

"I didn't understand Mission impossible"

John Connor goes back in time like in the original 1984 movie but he basically ends up in an alternate reality.

A t-800 was sent back earlier to protect a young Sarah Connor. He raises her and calls him pops

1984 Sarah Connor is no longer a scared waitress

To me the trailer just indicated that they were just going to mesh the best sequences from the previous movies and just combine them in this one just with different actors. So, I don't know if this is going to work or not, but I'm a sucka for this crap, so I'll see it regardless.

since she knows that her ''father'' T800 came from the future that would be proof that it was always her fault :woot:

So is this a reboot of the entire Terminator franchise or is it a sequel or a reboot/sequel. The trailer looks good but I am just confused about the story and timeline and how it fits with all the other movies. Wasn't Christian Bale John Connor in the last movie? Now its another person playing John Conner again?

I don't even think the director knows what's it supposed to be. Never mind any one of us explaining it. :funny:

The role of John Connor has always been a revolving door. The actor playing him in this movie will be the sixth by my count.

Bale smartly wouldn't be caught dead in another Terminator movie.

Maybe Matt Smith is in this so he can fix the messed up broken timeline.

It's an alternate timeline of the events from the original movie (you even see a T-1000 in 1984 this time). Christian Bale is not in it because Salvation underperformed and the production companies responsible for it dont have anything to do with this new one.

We must send someone back in time...to stop the writer

I wish we could go forward in time since it's only 5 more years until James Cameron gets the rights back and hopefully let's this sleeping dog lie.

So enjoy this crap while you can those of you who enjoyed garbage like Terminator Salvation cause these are the end days for more unnecessary Terminator crap from Hollywood. Thank god.

Hey, I just discovered something...we travel forward in time right now!:wow: I can prove it, just look at the clock. Life imitates art...

But yeah, I look forward to the day when there's no more Terminator movies (and other unnecessary remakes/reboots).

Because nothing makes sense. Like if a T-800 was sent back in time to protect a young Sarah Connor, why even bother sending Kyle Reese in the first place? Why is Sarah Connor way more badass than Kyle Reese? Why not send a T-1000 in the first place now? And the Star Trek styled reboot idea is just dumb to begin with.

Omg is that true?

I bet marvel wishes they had a timetable set for xmen and spidey film rights...

It's what the 2009 Star Trek movie was to the rest of the Star Trek movie franchise.

It's an alternate reality that allows the filmmakers to create an entire new perspective on the universe while not disregarding what came before it.
