^ Yeah, that shot where she's looking down, then looks up with her eyes and her hair's all frizzy is very Linda Hamilton.

Other that than she looks like a high-schooler in cosplay.

These are the only two shots that screams Hamilton to me.

^ Agreed, that first shot is the one I was talking about.

They managed one shot of her resembling Linda Hamilton. The movie is now validated. :awesome:

Well, in all fairness we've only seen a few shots from the movie. I don't know if anyone could really replace Linda Hamilton though. She was a beast in T2, and you really need a lot of training to get into that shape. Emilia Clarke is gorgeous, but Linda Hamilton would snap her arm without effort.

Honestly, my thoughts on Emilia Clarke aside, the "complaint" about "looking like cosplay" has always been rather amusing to me:

1. There's some damn good cosplay out there, quite a bit in fact. Some of it is even better than the stuff from the actual films.

2. A lot of cosplay is inspired BY THE MATERIAL! So of course they'd look like cosplay.

I've never really taken that complaint seriously, and I doubt that I ever will.

The idea behind saying someone looks like they are cosplaying is not a shot at cosplayers. It means that the actor in the role looks out of place, almost like someone playing dress up. Emilia Clarke is suppose to be playing one of the most iconic badass females in cinema history. I'd say the most badass. She looks like a little girl playing dress up. Not one hard bone in her body. Not one sign of the intensity or strength of Hamilton.

Mad Max: Fury Road is everything this should have been...

A labor of love (with the original creator at the helm), A-list (appropriately cast) actors in the lead roles and the balls to make an R-RATED film, even with a huge 150 Million plus budget on the line.

Terminator deserved THAT A-list treatment. :csad:

Gotta have a clear view of Emilia's ass.

I don't understand why Emilia has to be holding a Terminator skull. She is doing that in almost every poster.

It is worse on GoT. :funny:

Daenerys is one of my favorite characters on Game of Thrones.

And Daenerys isn't really supposed to be a "badass". She's a girl queen backed up by dragons and an army of devoted warriors.

Sarah Connor is supposed to be a one-man wrecking ball who can take your ass down with her bare hands. I bought it with Linda Hamilton. Clarke just doesn't look physically formidable.

And Jai Courtney just looks like a cookie cutter dumb meathead, which is so annoying for a character like Kyle Reese.

I think Emilia is great as daenerys. In fact, to me, it's an iconic role that I can't see anyone else doing.

Agreed. I envy the heck out of mad max hardcore fans. Fury Road looks glorious.

That new poster is decent concept (why is everything so slanted) but of course the photoshop is terrible. But as I said, so many movie posters have terrible Photoshop nowadays.

It's always kind of a bummer to me when I see the fan art that people come up with versus what is actually put out. Someone hire some of those guys

How much better is this compared to the new ones?

Exactly. Not that complicated.

To be fair, it's pretty nice. :p

Agreed on both accounts.

But man...this movie is looking really bad. It got me thinking, I have a feeling we won't see sequels, and if they do give the rights back to Cameron does anyone think he would actually do anything with it?

I would love to see him at the helm but with how long it is taking him to get the Avatar sequels off the ground I just don't ever see it happening. Would he ever really want to do a George Miller and go back to the dark edgy rated R stuff?

James Cameron is busy with Avatar 2-195 but the right's to the Terminator franchise go back to him in 2019 and after that it's up to him what he want's to do. He could loan the right's out to a studio or just keep it for himself an no one will ever make a Terminator movie again till after his passing.

That one isn't too bad.

I agree! I have to think someone in the business is reading message boards regarding the terrible marketing.

Bravo!

this is the best one yet.

BTW! a friend of mine named John has seen a workprint of the film and says the BTTF2 type re-filming of the PUNK's scene that was in the original Terminator was not in the version he saw. So i will assume they cut this. Thanks goodness! He also said that the dialog isn't as bad as everyone thinks. That's all he can tell me since he signed a waiver.
