Charlize Theron isn't tiny. She also looks like woman, not a little girl playing dress up. Emilia Clarke is 5'2 and far from hard. The standards for this series were set in place over 20 years ago.

Charlie and Jaime are extremely skinny girls though, as other posters have pointed out its more their attitude. And Blunt was an exception rather than the rule, she was in great shape. Look at Scarlet Johansen as BW, she is tiny also but no one has a problem with her fighting robots and super powered beings. Let's see the full performance of Clark before judging. Courtney is more mis cast than she is IMO.

Emilia just looks "soft". I've got a friend who is Emilia's size. Has her build and height, and she is weak as bathwater. When I look at Emilia in most of the footage I've seen I don't buy that she could even throw a powerful punch let alone be a warrior. Emilia is about as intimidating as a cuddly bunny rabbit.

Again as others pointed out, its not about being skinny. Its about attitude and looking battle ready. Darth showed you the difference between Clarke and those other actresses and you threw the "they're skinny" card? Wow dude just wow. Also here's another female Character I though was badass without all the superficial stuff you're talking about.

And Ripley from Alien and Aliens as well. Forgot about her.Clarke looks a high school girl. I don't buy her being this badass at all. And since when is an actress not considered a badass because they were skinny? You're really reaching dude.

Clarke doesn't look like a high school teenage girl. She's in her 20s, and she looks her age. She just looks too soft for this role.

jennifer lawrence and shalene woodley (correct spelling?) are two other actresses I kind of have a hard time buying in there action roles. They can act in dramas yes but action badasses? Not so much.

Action roles arent for everybody and thats ok. I only saw a couple episodes of game of thrones but clarke seemed like a little girl playing dress up on there too.
Its even more tougher for clarke because shes doing a role perfected by a woman who outshines her in all departments and when youmput her in a remake of those loved scenes from 1 and 2 then it becomes spoof territory.

yes, Emilia Clarke looks like she couldn't even beat up a 10 year old, let alone a terminator, but that's hardly the issue.

if she gives a great performance nobody is going to care that she is physically wrong for the role, but judging by 5 season of her poor acting on GOT and the way she delivers the lines in the trailer, there is very little chance of that.

Yup. Jai courtney and sam worthington are in the same boat for me. Both ironically stare(d) in terminator films and yet are bland and lack charisma and screen presence needed for these roles. Sylvester and Arnold had all the above and knew how to do an action film, even daniel craig as bond knows how to tap into that talent pool deliver a bond you dont mess with.

Not just this movie but most action movies in general now just dont have that same it factor like the older ones did. Its far too easy now in hollywood to have steriod injections then viola your dubbed a buff action star because we the audience are told you are.

I could see Emilia Clarke being a freshmen in college. She does look pretty young for her age.

Ridiculously attractive, but not good for this role and, imo, not a good actor
