I don't think what he said is that bad. Did you really expect anything different in the context of this film? He didn't come up with this stuff on his own, he was directed to not be like Biehn.

The context of a film where they're recreating scenes from the original and they're going to great lengths to remind the audience that this is the same 1984 we saw in the original film?

Like I said yesterday, If Courtney was directed not to follow Biehn, why did Jason Clarke go back and study T2? Why is Emilia Clarke aping Linda Hamilton? Why did the costume designer go to great lengths to replicate Reese's original outfit, to the point where she asked Nike to recreate his shoes from the original film?

LOL. Who cares about what the original actual performance of the character was like, as long as the shoes are right, WE'RE GOOD!

We know Bryce Dallas Howard was there, because at one point he yells "back off, Bryce!".

How could anyone snap at Bryce? She's such a sweetheart.

As I said, it's all about getting the essence of the character right. If you can do that most people won't care if physically it's not the same. It's the only thing Salvation got right.

That bastard! i understand he had a rough day, but that woman is stunning in every way. And i think she was pregnant at the time as well, really class act from Bale there. But in the end he apologized and was all good, sometimes actors get way too deep in character, but that doesn't excuse treating her lie that

I'm not sure he said that, just read the transcript and didn't see it. He did say," You got any ------- idea about, hey, it's ------- distracting having somebody walking up behind Bryce in the middle of the ------- scene?" But no "back off Bryce."

As I said, it's all about getting the essence of the character right. If you can do that most people won't care if physically it's not the same. It's the only thing Salvation got right.

I'd say they failed to get the essence right when they cast Courtney in the role but I at least would have had more respect for the guy if he went the extra mile and tried.

Only an idiot would closely watch a film from 1984 for performance tips, even though you're playing the exact same character in a movie that shot-for-shot remakes some of the exact same scenes?

I think I just thought of a major plot hole....

If the machines successfully take over John Connor (Make him into the T-3000), then why are they still trying to go back in time and kill Sarah/Kyle/etc?

Doesn't that mean they will win, ultimately, if they let John live? They're shooting themselves in the foot!

Or am I misunderstanding and they're trying to stop the heroes from stopping Judgement Day? I'm confused!

I think it isn't actually John Connor, but a Terminator disguised as John Connor.

Goddammit, I don't even know anymore with this movie, man.

I actually think the paradox issues are almost part of the charm of the Terminator franchise at this point. Most time travel movies, if you think about it too long will fry your brain. And the Terminator movies are always dealing with loops, and two opposing sides trying to get ahead of one another with said loops. It's a recipe for mindf***ing.

That said, by being a pre-sequel-boot this movie has an opportunity to do some continuity cleanup ala DOFP. I would imagine they're going to try at least, considering they probably want this to be a new trilogy or, God help us, cinematic universe.

Then the franchise will be put to rest. For a while, at least. Cameron was done with it over two decades ago, and even if he wasn't, he's still got three Avatar sequels on his plate.

he did for time in mid 1990's toy with doing another film but then carolco partners win the rights and he lost intrest.

Inless he allowes someone to do a terminator film the series is likely done inless after avatar sequels he wants to do something new with terminator.
