Yes. A Cameron/Schwarzenegger T3 was a possibility as far back as 1997 (he was in post on Titanic). Fox (his home studio) was trying to aquire the rights under his behalf in the Carolco bankruptcy auction but unfortunately the previous Carolco owners beat Fox to it. After that, Cameron just washed his hands from it all together and moved on.

He's probably just gonna keep the rights and sit on it.

Like Zemckis/Gale with Back to the Future.

I would actully be shocked if Cameron did anything with rights after he gets them.

If this film is hit the reason they have plans to do other 2 films in this propsed trilogy back to back is to get films made before cameron gets the rights.

A cameron T3 will remain one of greatest things film fans will always wonder what it would have been like if it had be made.

I'm still hoping for Battle Angel but realistically it's a long ways off. He had an opportunity to hand over the directorial reigns and just produce but he couldn't do it because he loves it too much, to give it up.

Battle Angel will not happen IMO. Cameron is retiring after the third Avatar movie. haha

Last time I was at Universal Studios Hollywood, they still had it...5-6 years ago...

...LOL, I still have friends and relatives upset the ET adventure was removed way back when...

I think this movie will either be stupid fun (ie a bad movie that's still fun to watch), or just plain stupid (a straight up bad movie). I sincerely have my doubts that it will be genuinely good. I could be wrong, and as a fan of the franchise I hope that I am, but with the exception of The Sarah Connor Chronicles, everything since T2 has been one huge disappointment after another.

probably a good choice. it will need all the teenagers it can get in order to stop a write-down by the studio.
