I liked Salvation but that is still a far ways from it being a proper Terminator film. As a Terminator film it was awful. As a movie that happened to have cyborgs and a future war, it was good.

Salvation was terrible cause of Sam Worthington was the focus he is just awful and Bale wasnt great himself WE GET IT YOUR JOHN CONNNOR how many times did he say
"This is or Im John Conner"

T3 was equally as worthless when Arnold put on those stripper glasses I knew it wasn't going to get better

If I had to choose between them I'll go with 3 the Crane sequence and cemetary scenes were better than anthing in Salvation

I haven't watched T3 in a while so I need to give it another watch. Salvation was disappointing as ****. WB knows how to market a film with those amazing trailers, but Bale, Worthington, the plot, and characters were god awful. I think it was my most disappointing experience at the theatre.

I still don't understand the love Worthington got for that movie. I thought his character was a d**k and all he did was mope and struggle to maintain an American accent. I remember people saying he "outshined" Bale and there was even some stupid rumor that he was going to replace him as Batman. Granted, Bale wasn't great but think that was more the script than anything else. I think with better writing, Bale would have been awesome. Worthington has been dull in just about everything else he's ever done so I doubt a stronger script would have helped him.

I thought Salvation was merely OK. It lacked the heart if the original, Worthington was horrible and Bale played it to moody.

3 was too much like a parody of 2 and it sucked.

This will shock some people but I'm not really a fan of 2, as with most Cameron films I find it very overrated.

The first one is the best, it oozes atmosphere and I hope the new one tries to take us back to the feel of this one.

I think the first two were great and they should have quit while they were ahead. I almost feel like Terminator was never meant to be a franchise (I consider franchises to be movies with more than one sequel).

I really enjoyed Salvation for the most part, never got the hate.

Me neither. But, i saw it some time after it was released; had read all the negative reviews about it from fans, etc, so i was expecting it to be really bad, so maybe i thought it was good because i had lower my expectations waaayyyyy down…………..


….now Ghost Rider 2; that was a whole other story.

just to double check, is this movie in the same 'universe/continuity' or is it like an x men first class/star trek where they go back and alter things, so that the events never happened?

And on the shape of Arnie now, he has definitely had surgery - body sculpting - fat removed, maybe even fillers.

Well, it does happen in the same continuity since, after all, the characters gonna witness the events of the first two movies Back To The Future II style, but in a way its a reboot in that it follows a different storyline. Thats what they say at least

It seems so. The leaked footage had flares/lighting/explosions with the pink/purple color of the lasers from the first two. So I'd say that pretty much confirms it.
