i think that scene was heavily cut due to timings and WB

It seemed pretty complete in the teaser though, and after seeing the movie we know Connor comes out of the encounter alive as that tunnel is at the start of the movie.

like I said, theres plenty of deleted scenes in the trailer itself. Even Arnold picking up the minigun. If he originally picked it up then there has to be some subtantial action cut out

Yeah, it would have been awesome seeing the T-800 picking up a mini-gun, would have reminded people of T2.

Nah, the T fans knew right away who that is. The giveaway was the vein on the leg whcih was identical to Kickinger's. Plus it was apparent that those arms and legs belonged to a bodybuilder

I really hope that Arnold ends up owning the franchise. It'll be the only way James Cameron will ever come back to it in some shape or form.

I think he might. he plannedto do alien 5 despite how raped the franchise already was at that point (A:R and AVP). He might want to restore dignity to his first child

problem is that the reason it wont happen might be the same why it didnt happen with alien. because of the constantly coming subpar sequels alien and terminator franchises arent mega blockbusters anymore. they arent like Star Wars anymore, because the last movie that was huge smashhit and instant icon from the series was in 1991 and in '86. And since then it turned from Oscar winning movies with A directors and writers to Z list moviemakers and huge domestic box office failures with Razzie awards. Its now too lowly for directors like Cameron, Spielberg or Jackson

Hmm, thats right, thats a good point. If Alien franchise can be saved after such pathetic and embarassing excuse for a movie that AVP:R was, and if Scott can come back after this, then Cameron might be back for his first born.

I hate to be a big meanie to the people who liked the flick but I'm happy about these big financial troubles. Hopefully the franchise stays dead for a long time because it is not on the right track right now.

Halcyon totally deserves to go under. Seriously, no film production company can be taken seriously by having only one god damn franchise and spending way too much money on a film (District 9 cost $30 million and looked just as good if not better in some scenes).

Like I said, I really hope that Arnold will end up getting the franchise. That way we can see someone big like James Cameron return, people can get interested in it again, and hopefully get Christian Bale back. A long shot, but hey I really love the Terminator franchise.

well, despite the fact that its NOT a good movie by any stretch I liked it but that doesnt mean I want another one. Hell no! we were THIS close to getting the worst sequel in history, with the whol serena subplot, and evil hybrids controlling skynet, and roboconnor. This time we were "lucky" in a way, but next time? who knows what unnecessary and dumb plot twist and additions will they think up next? Knowing Brancato and Ferris they will probably "reveal" that Skynet was built by aliens and that connor is his own grampa. Those two are masters in ruining franchises (Catwoman) and masters of iditoic and uncalled for twists

I think the film could'v been much better if it had been about Marcus and Kyle Reese wandering in the post-apocalyptic wastelands trying to find John Connor, and in the end they do, nice cameo by Christian Bale, end credits. Of course this would'v been rated R.

After seeing the trailer for Avatar I think Cameron belongs at Disney. His first films in 12 years and this is what we get? Lame!

You think that one flop is going to ruin his career??? I've seen s**tty directors who've made flops get tons of chances afterwards. Hollywood isn't as unforgiving as you are thinking.

Personally I'm going to wait till the movie gets closer to predict it's boxoffice. Alot of people thought that the 200mil Titantic would tank and...well we know what happened.

One things forsure, hardcore Sci Fi/Fantasy is a hard sell so Fox and Cameron do not have it easy.

I don't care what anybody says it is pathetic that Spielberg crawled back to Indy just to get another 300+mil hit and Scott is crawling back to Alien so he can have an easy hit of his own.

If people always thought like this no scifi movie would be ever taken seriously. its like saying ' a movie with a robot? thats for disney or for 13 yo boys" when referring to the terminator. Its silly considering Cameron is primalry an R rated director and his story are incredibly serious and complex. I cant believe that just because there are blue creatures in the movie people say its disney. unbelievable
