Joker's laughing bag in The Flash is vastly different. It's black (not green), and the recorded laugh is not the same at all.

That said, the original 1989 movie was supposed to take place in the "future", 2013.

October 4th, 1961: Jack Napier is born. The birthdate on the mugshot which Max Eckhardt was spreading at Axis Chemicals must be wrong.
1975: Bruce Wayne is born.

This is the trascript of what you can read on-screen from the Police Case History Folder that Alfred gave to Bruce Wayne during his investigations:

Name: Jack Napier. Sex: Male. Address: 1379 P__ 565, Gotham City. Age: 38. __:5 ft. 8". __: Gotham. Height: 5 ft. 11". __: JN7. __:265-784. __ by: __. __: 2846287.
Assault: AC+D = __ N (8-29-76)
__: AC+D = __ A (2-16-78)
__: AC+D = __ A (11-6-80) Can not prove
Extortion: AC+D = __ J (12-16-81)

As Bruce Wayne openly claimed, Napier’s first certified crime happened when he was only 15 years old (1976).

1982: Selina Kyle is born.
1983: The murder of the Waynes. Jack Napier is 22 years old.
Oswald Cobblepot is born, 33 years before his war with Batman.
January 25th, 1989: the date in which Eckhardt’s mugshot was compiled. By this point, Napier has already visibly gained mass. Napier’s birthday is wrong (it’s 1961 and not 1964).
1999: Napier’s Police Case History Folder is created. Jack Napier is 38 years old.
2011: Batman begins. At first, he is considered to be an "urban legend".
2013: The events of Batman occur. Batman is 38 years old. The Joker is 52 years old.
2016: The events of Batman Returns occur.

Wait, what? Burton's Batman was in the (then) future? Is that true?:confused:

I think you’re way overcomplicating things.

It’s supposed to be the same Batman. The different color of the bag is most likely just a choice or a mistake.

Look, the Gotham of ‘89 and Returns are very different from one another, but it’s the same Batman.

There’s zero point to cast Keaton if he’s not, even if the production didn’t think about it too hard.

Who says it's the same laughing bag?

Batman has spare suits. Maybe Joker had spare bags.

That's a start. So you think that The Flash BatKeaton is not the Burtonverse BatKeaton?

You’re right it’s a different universe, but as soon as Barry time travels, no one is “our” version of that character anymore, even after he tries to undo it.

How do you work that out? I haven't seen The Flash yet, but my understanding is that Flash meets Keaton's Batman in 2013 (the year of Man of Steel) when he's already old man Bruce.

Edit; Okay, I've seen it. He definitely meets Keaton's Batman in 2013 when he's already old man Bruce.

or mixture between Burtonverse/Another verse merge

Its unclear
this movie is a real mayhem

Where is that confirmed anywhere? Not in the scripts or novelizations or comics or stated in the films. In fact, Tim Burton explained on his Batman commentary, "We decided to not make it futuristic like Blade Runner, but just create Gotham City as a parallel universe New York all screwed up, as opposed to shooting in New York in 1989. It was fun to set it in his own world, with a character like Batman. We decided to go for a timelessness, with a period feel. We didn't wanna say 'This takes place in 1940 or 1950, or 1989 either.' It has some elements of a 1940s look [the fashion] mixed with some contemporary things [Bruce Wayne making a Ted Bundy true crime reference, Bruce and Selina dancing to Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Joker dancing to Prince, etc.]. It was a tricky balance."

Costume designer Graham Churchyard explained, "Guys wore big 1940s overcoats and fedora hats and that created that retro look."

Costume designer Mary Vogt explained, "Warner Bros had a huge collection of 1930s costumes that we used to give the Red Triangle Circus Gang a 1930s circus sideshow look. Max Shreck wore pinstripe suits and homburg hats for a J.P. Morgan [1800s Wall Street banker elite] industrialist look. The Ice Princess had a 1940s Sonja Henie and Betty Grable look to her." Max Shreck is perceived as just a parody of Donald Trump, few are even aware that the name came from the Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror star Max Schreck.

The Francis Bacon horror painting "Head Surrounded by Sides of Beef", the only painting the Joker likes, is from 1954.

I wasn't a fan of the portrayal of Bruce Wayne in The Flash. It didn't feel or seem like the one from Burton's films, for how jarringly unhinged he was—with him then doing a random 180° turn. I just ultimately have an issue with the way he was written. I don't feel as though there was any benefit bringing Michael Keaton back for that; it didn't really honor his legacy, in my opinion. That said, I do love the action sequences with Batman; it definitely looked and felt like Batman from the comic books and Batman: Arkham games; those were some really great moments. My issue is solely with the way he, and a large part of the film itself, was written and the overall concept of the Multiverse thrown in and how it was implemented.
