Really sad to see Edge retire. He was one of my absolute favorites. Some of my favorite live event memories were rabidly cheering him in MSG at the height of the anti-Cena movement, and getting yelled at for it by little kids who'd turn around and scream "EDGE STINKS" at me.
I gotta say, if they just caught this recently it's pretty amazing luck Christian got to come back in time for one last E&C reunion before he had to leave. We should all just be thankful they diagnosed him before he got seriously hurt, and appreciate all the great moments he gave us fans.
If there's any silver lining to this, it's that there's a possibility Christian could step up and take his place on Smackdown. The story's built in, and it would get a huge pop if he won the belt against Del Rio for his fallen partner.
Also, it sucks this is how the business works, but when one main eventer falls, another spot opens up. Hopefully someone talented is given the shot to take the ball and run with it. He'll be hard to replace but they need to move on and there's a lot of talented young guys who can grow into that spot
