Batman Begins Thanks from Larry Holden

Hello. I just registered because I just wanted to say thanks to those of you who have written me (via imdb.com, I guess) the past couple of days saying you enjoyed the movie, etc. Chris Nolan and the gang are the ones to truly thank, of course, as I just played a very small part; but I'm honored and blown away that any of you would take the time to actually get in touch, and I thought this would be the most efficient way to reach everybody. Again, thank you so much. Sincerely, Larry Holden
Dear Larry... You could ask Nolan to be the Joker ;)

Now that would be the definition of a Class act!! Man you never get to see the good in the world anymore. Does my heart good, Take care of yourself Mr Holden, I hope you have the "Most FUN" career ever!!

Wow. I missed all the fun! :(

I gotta say, though... the thing that got my attention was when he said he bought the cowboy hat because he was going to be shooting in a little rural town in Maryland called Bel Air... that's like ten, fifteen minutes from where I live, a straight shot up US 301.

Wow... sometimes the world feels so small... and it's so odd that something cool like that can be happening a few short miles from here and I would never know... :D

“You shouldn't believe what you read, and I don't care which so-called "Batman" expert has said what or will say what. They are dead wrong about ninety nine percent of it all. And that goes for casting, the script, the car, the suit... whatever.”

It seems more to me that reports from that period were dead right about ninety nine percent of it all… so what was it you were trying to accomplish with that statement?

Hey Larry! Loved you in Insomnia. Even though you had very little screen time in Batman Begins, you pulled it out nicely. Almost everybody in the boards want Guy Pearce to be DA Harvey Dent in the sequel... it would have been so cool to see you and your co-star from Memento reunited and have a face-off one more time. Overall, keep doing what you do.

Hey guys. Larry sent me these pics last night. I didn't get a chance to post them until now

Batman2005, here's your proof.

BTW, Larry is a genuinely nice guy. You don't find that often in Hollywood.

Dammit! Larry Holden was here?

We talk in emails now and then....he even sent me a DVD of the movie he directed - "My Father's House" - .....he's a darn nice guy.

Wow. Why can't all celebrities be like that?

Imagine chatting by e-mail with Christian Bale, Brad Pitt or Paris Hilton...uh...on second thought, maybe its best that Larry Holden is the only one.

That is so cool of him!

You're the man Larry!

R.I.P sir. :(

I was not around the Hype for this conversation, I suppose I was already too focused on TDK to pay attention to this. Extremely rare to find someone who is willing to interact with the fans in this manner. Seemed like a genuinely nice guy.

RIP

That was a pleasant read. He seemed like such a great guy - I would have loved to have seen him in more of Nolan's films!

R.I.P., Mr. Holder... I just finished reading the thread, what a wonderful guy he was...

I had no idea... wow. These films have had its share of tragedies hasn't it? I was just about to send a PM to him because him being around the HYPE is just so legendary. I wasn't around when he did this but I knew about it from word-of-mouth around here.

May he rest in piece. Always such a great guy.

Yup they kinda have. A lot of bad events happened around them.

Wow, what a thread. I had no idea he died.

RIP good sir. Thanks for treating us fans with some honest respect.
