I quite enjoyed the new version. Great unseen scenes of Chris and margot.
My only complaint --, they didnt show any emotion between Clark and Lois prior to them flying off for that sleep over at the Fortress. I think that's the only thing lacking. Lois was so unattached from him emotionally. It could have used her looking adoringly at him..something. It was just rather abrupt to go from shooting him , Gotcha..to a romantic sleepover.
(Plus, some of my favorite scenes like the shirt ripping as he heads to paris werent there. And the reporting to the President. I cant imagine why they couldnt add in that scene , into the movie, with Jimmy and Clark at the elevator. One of my favorites from the 1980's network version
Also, is that really margot standing off in the superman shirt at the fortress? I know Ive seen posed shots of Margot like that. But somehow that didnt quite look like her back there and they never showed a close up to give viewers an impression that she's moved by what Clark is doing and saying (as the Lester version had.)
(the screen tests scene was very clean and not bothersome.)
It was interesting to watch restoring The Vision and seeing how Donner still hurts from being replaced. I Liked his comment that he and Tom discuss what an awesome series of films they could have made. (Is it really too late Dick?? Lots of directors are older than you. Think about it!!!) Although we no longer have the extraordinary Chris Reeve to make Superman live, breathe, emote. You can see it in his eyes in every scene, that he nails the exact emotion. (If he had gotten shot in the eye with a bullet he would have shown alot of anger, power..you would have known that guy had gone too far.) LOL

Once a girl's seen Superman in action, Niagara Falls kinda leaves you cold.
