Thanos is not the be all end all of the Marvel Universe

If you want a big threat may i suggest Ultimate Reed Richards AKA the Maker?

Ah, Reed Richards. The one superhero whose super powers AREN'T his most important asset. Seriously, does he does he even need his stretchy powers? If he lost them tomorrow I don't think they'd make much of a difference to his life, except that he'd half to walk across the room to pick something up.

I'd hope to see more traditional "Avengers" villains in most Avengers movies, though. Loki, Ultron, and Thanos, for instance. Kang, Korvac, the Masters of Evil, the Kree Empire, etc. They have plenty of villains that they don't need to start poaching villains from other properties like the Fantastic Four.

I completelly agree, we don't need Doctor Doom for Avengers 4, there's already a good variety of villains in The Avengers comics, and Iron Man's, and Thor's, or even Hulk's, unless they think of a mind blowing story to tell with the character there's no need to force it (Joss Whedon must have a very good story to tell, since he's taking a risk by using the mutant characters)

I put Ultimate Reed Richards in there because while his turn to villainy was horribly handled (good job Brian Bendis) he was an amazing villain in Ultimate Comic: The Ultimate 1-12, and i would love to see some of the storie's aspects on film, with or without alternate reality Reed Richards.

Korvac isn't anymore an Avengers villain than Doom. Doom just hasn't had a specific event based around him in Avengers comics (that I can recall anyway).

Um, no. Where did you get that idea?

Hahaha... omg. It was a joke I thought Mr. Dent was gonna catch. You know from those horrible FF movies. Good job! Yeah, he really is just a smart weak human being.

Like I keep saying, more powerful =/= best villain. To me, and honestly I'd say most Marvel fans, or at least before they introduced Thanos at the end of Avengers, Doom has always been THE Marvel villain. He's the poster boy for Marvel villainism. He's cunning, ambitious, and possess power on a cosmic scale while being a human. The fact Doom is #2 in strength amongst contemporary Marvel villains as a mere human is proof of how great a villain he is.

bumpin this, forgot to respond
That's just his plans. He was arguably the biggest Villain of like the 90s. All his big stories have involved EVERYONE, essentially. "most powerful =/= best villain", these are just some of his accomplishments. That's all. I can go on, and on and on about why Thanos is such a great villain, but I'll spare. First of all, who decides that "personal" is better than "bigger"..you? That's just your opinion. That's like saying because someone is a faster drummer than the other guy, he's better. Because someone has more technical skill, he's "better", like that, there are a combination of things that make a villain great. How personal, and how big are just some of many parts that make up a great villain, that come into play and suit the particular story best.

I have read almost everything Thanos has been in. When I say he is such a great villain, I am not talking about because of his accomplishments, with his powers and scale, that's only a minor, minor part. I only bring that up because its the MCU and it shows a big feat of power.

His intellect, his tech, his scheming, his strategic mind.. his evolution

Thanos has had multiple personal stories. His relationship with Warlock, the two of them have this love hate relationship...Drax..we all know. His relationship with Death. How he became the way he is, the universes greatest threat, because of how lost he always was, and wanting to give everything to Death herself. He's dedicated his entire life for her love, and has killed and murdered in her name, but he can never find the satisfaction he needs. He's alone. and always will be. His greatest moments are bringing death to others, when he can't even get death to love him.

And how in IG he sort of evolved from a villain to sort of an anti-villain type thing...you almost route for him sometimes..

Yeah, he may not be as "personal" to some of the flagship characters as some other villains, but that is not the point.

The guy is stronger than Hulk, more powerful than Thor, the silver surfer, and any character on that tier, he's durable enough to take a beating from Odin. A brilliant, brilliant strategist, possibly second to none. Has built awesome tech, is extremely smart, and has planned and gained omnipotence on multiple occasions, with some dark and weird motives, and caused many a lot of pain and hate...not to mention that he's really a tragic character.

Thanos' achieving great power isn't what makes him awesome, isn't what makes him different, it's everything about the character ^^ To deny all this, and say he isn't really a great villain, and at least be open to the possibility that he is one of the few few best, well then, don't know what to tell ya.
