Infinity War "Thanos, I've Come To Bargain!" - The Doctor Strange Thread

This is actually a new application of magic that we havent seen Strange exactly use in the MCU:Magic blasts. We didnt even see the Ancient one use this so i think this is a Strange original spell.Hes really improving

I think he was coordinating with Wong on the right to deliver some huge magic blast......until Stark screwed it up.

Except why would Tony dip down behind them just to zip past them when he can just fly above them? If it's unintentional, Tony sure goes out of his way to do it.

I hope we still see this huge coordinated magic blast. :yay:

Strange, without question
had the single coolest visual combat sequence in the entire film when he fought Thanos 1-on-1, matching his wit with every move.
People were completely aghast.

I was letting out a huge "WOAH!"

More excited for DS2 after seeing this movie. DS1 didn't really show how powerful strange could be.

That Shiva pose before he multiplies. That was as godlike as anything Thor did. And the score with the choir coming in gave me goosebumps.

Strange is majestic in this movie.

Yeah, Strange was such a powerhouse. It makes me think if Thor had gone to Titan instead of Earth, they could've solved things there and then.

I was so excited to see Dr. Strange's powers in this movie and I was not disappointed. His final battle with Thanos was amazing:hmr:! I only wish it had gone on for longer. He is one of the most unpredictable characters in the MCU. I love him:ilv:

Yup, behind Thor and Wanda, i think Strange had the most impressive power scenes. Still hoping to eventually see him and Wanda team up sometime

Strange was one of the best things about the movie

Is it just me or did the Russos do a better job of handling Strange than Scott Derrickson ?
Y0nder said it best. He was so effortlessly majestic. Cumberbatchs voice, acting and gravitas are something else..terrific casting. Whoever made that call deserves a raise.

Strange has so many cool powers and abilities. They just scratched the surface. Cant wait till he becomes SS and we get to see a large array of his powers. I also hope they combine his powers with martial arts and wit. His powers are cool but its his intellect that is the real problem solver.

Ehh, I don't know it's a directorial thing. Strange is just more experienced now than he was in the origin movie - sure by his solo sequel Derrickson will have him be pulling all the crazy shiznit too.

Strange was great.

I really enjoyed his little opening exchange with Wong. I can't wait to see more of their buddy dynamic in the next Doctor Strange sequel flick.

"It's a simple spell, but quite unbreakable."

I love the way he delivered that line to Ebony Maw. Calm and slightly arrogant even under duress. Cumberbatch really nails the character.

I wasn't really impressed with his power till near the end. He did way too many Mandala poses/shields without ever really actually fighting over half the time..

It wasn't till the one on one with Thanos that we finally saw him get creative, but it was over so quick. I guess I'm being greedy but I wanted more.

Strange RULED in this movie. He was so authoritative, and his moves were so crazy and unpredictably....Strange.

I was prepared to be bored by a bunch of yellow portal and mandala-blast action... I WAS WRONG. Loved him in this and for the first time I totally buy that THAT guy is The Sorcerer Supreme.

Cumberbatch has such a commanding presence. I really loved him as Dr.Strange in this, especially him and Tony's back and forth and his few exchanges with Maw. Don't even get me started on his power display either, because that **** was on a whole other level. His scenes on Titan were easily my favorite parts of the movie and I can't wait to see more of him.

Strange was definitely one of the MVPs in this movie along with Thor. I really enjoyed any scene he was involved in.

They did a great job of setting up as Stark's spiritual successor.

Loved their scenes together.

Watched this movie a 2nd time....and yes, DS does display awesome display of power.

I would say he rivals Thor for MVP.

I couldn't have asked for more from Strange. Wasn't expecting them to give him so much. Cumberbatch is just perfect. Can't wait for DS2 now.

I like how Strange really came into his own in this film. He really has taken on the responsibility and mantle of SS with great conviction. I was most impressed by his portrayal here. And I like how he didn't take anyone else's ****. He gave no ****s and it was awesome.

I LOVED Strange in this, much more than in his solo outing, but I wonder if he benefits from team-up movies sort of like the Hulk. Strange is a lot more fun when he can play off of other characters and take a role as the somewhat mysterious and powerful guide in the story. He's sort of less interesting when you give him a bunch of normal 'hero baggage' like lost love, etc.

I definitely want more of him in the MCU, playing a big role, but I wonder if he really works as well as a main character in his own franchise.
