So...my opinion of the show is wrong just because a bunch of kids like the show and it keep going? I'm sorry, but that is wrong. My opinion is my opinion, and the length of the show's run has no bearing on what I think of the show. Now, had I said everyone hates the show, then your comment about it lasting 17 years would have merit. But, I said why I don't like the show. Which is independent of its success. Should I proclaim Transformers 2 an awesome movie because it made 400 million dollars and Kick-Ass a piece of crap cause it barely grossed 30?

You don't know what you're talking about. Power Rangers is awesome. It didn't last on the air for 17 years out of pure luck.

damn right, ive religiously watched all the seasons through Space and continued sadly though Wild Force

You're clearly trying to type something, but all I'm reading is "blah blah blah, I don't know a good kid's action TV show when I see one, blah."

Again, you dodge all my points with insults and show you have little to no debate skills and offer no opinion worth listening to. A+

which goes back to my original saying I think Linkara is the only reasonable guy in that site, I dont necessarily hate all the others but I really like what he has done with the history of the power rangers

I didn't think of it before, but have you ever checked out JewWario, Bennett the Sage, JesuOtaku, Luke Mochrie, or Paw?

And you seem to be dodging my point that Power Rangers is awesome. :awesome:

Agreed, and if you watch Linkara's History of Power Rangers you'd see that there was more to PR than stock footage and formulaic episodes. Of course they use stock footage, but they always made due with they have to the best of their abilities. I'd say it has been pretty successful. That there were specific themes that was always done well too within the show.

And if you're saying that its not as cool as a comic book because it's not dark well that because it is for kids. They do push it though. They did have rangers actually die on the show.

Again, I'm not arguing success. I'm saying I don't like the show. It's not cause it isn't dark. It is because the show doesn't entertain me. Yes, the show has underlying themes and such. But, that doesn't hide the fact that the show has VERY stupid episodes very frequently (cringe worthy ones), and every episode follows the same formula: villain has plan, sends puddy-ish things after rangers (who beat them), gets monster to go after rangers, rangers fight monster, monster gets big, they hop in zords and destroy it. It is the same episode every week.

Why does this bother people so much?

Truth be told, I haven't taken this argument seriously. Countering every one of your points with "Power Rangers is awesome" has been strangely entertaining to me. I can see why trolls do what they do.

It's amazing how HOPR has showed me, of all things, character development in Bulk & Skull.

I watched part 1 of Spoony's review of Highlander 2...LOL! This is awesome so far. I can't wait to watch part 2

Oh okay. Yeah i understand why people don't like it. I misinterpreted you as you not understanding why its popular, if that makes sense.

That bit on Linkara's intro where AVGN punches him, what episode is that from?

I think that's from the Year One crossover event, but I'm not 100% sure.

I thought it was something filmed during the brawl (not for the brawl, though).

I don't see how adults can like it. It's like an adult liking Dora. It's not like say Transformers or even Spongebob. Where's there's adult parts of it.

Lord Zedd used to be pretty dark before they lightened him up by getting him hitched to Rita.

I think Lord Zedd is a badass looking villain and has an awesome voice and AWESOME music. But, he is essentially Rita, only with Puddies that have lame Z's that kill them :csad:

Yeah, Zedd was awesome. There's nothing more creepy on a kid's show than a villain whose body is inside out. On his best episodes, his plans were a hell of a lot better than anything Rita ever came up with.

Ecliptor and the Psycho Rangers were my fav. villains, ironically enough they're on In Space. Just goes to show that everything about In Space was just so...right.

His puddies were stupid as hell though. But, I will give the show that Zedd is one of the coolest looking villains I have ever seen.

Too bad the fight between him and Tommy wasn't longer, I think Zedd could have easily taken Tommy out IMO.

Seriously, who says "I have created a stronger army of Puddies! Now let me give them a weak spot in the least conspicuous place possible... Ah! A clearly marked area on the chest! No one will ever hit them there!"

And sure enough, the Rangers discovered the Z-Puddies' weak spot purely by accident, because who the hell doesn't aim for the chest when you're trying to really hurt someone in hand-to-hand combat?!
