I was thinking about covering science fiction films (and maybe TV shows). A lot of them have it coming, the bastards. Some are filled with scientific inaccuracies that an 8th grader could spot, shoddy special effects, nonsensical plots, and some of the most insane cliches in all of fiction.

The name of my show would be Webb of Science. My last name is Webb, my TGWTG screenname is ManicWebb-- the pun just works. The only other "Webb of Science" I can find on Google is some Wordpress blog by a freelance tech journalist named Sarah Webb.

My first episode would be a review of The Core.




Eh, I'm used to being ignored. I'll just add my videos to my current comic review website, which is heavily ignored as it is. But I don't do my reviews for the attention and fandom. I do them for art and SCIENCE!*

The Core deserves to be mocked. It is an awful piece of film. Outside Stanley Tucci, it is unwatchable...and just...stupid!

I like the movie, actually...except the ending of course! IT has the worst ending for a film ever. Before that, I liked it. Well...I liked IT part 1. Part 2 is meh, and then becomes garbage when he turns into a spider.

I've never seen IT but that review made it look bad. I can't believe that movie actually made people scared of clowns.

When you're 8 years old that **** is TERRIFYING. I'm still scared of clowns to this day because of it. Hence why I have not watched the review, though I'm dying to hear what the NC has to say, I don't want to see the parts of the movie.

Yes, as a kid, It scared the crap outta me.

Doesn't phase me now. And the Critic does a good job of taking the scary out of Pennywise and making him look rather silly. You should give the review a try. Before it even starts he's already destroyed every Stephen King movie ever made.

I concur with the Critic in thinking that Curry was hilarious in the library scene. He was definitely hamming it up more there.
