Anybody see this show?

It's actually pretty decent. Then again, it's somewhat nostalgic to me, having gone through military Basic Training (USAF), and the Arizona Correctional Training Academy (AZ-COTA) as a civilian.

For those that know what it means: The training so far is somewhat similar to what I went through in COTA, except for the POST related education.

The Academy is a 11-episode reality television series that provides a behind-the-scenes look at class 355 of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Academy as recruits go through an 18-week training course to become the next deputies of Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The program premiered in May 2007. The series is now airing on Fox Reality and is coming to MyNetworkTV in Fall 2007. There were 111 recruits to start out. The lead drill instructor is Dep. Miley a.k.a "The Ramrod". Every so often a class sergeant is selected. The class sergeant is usually a person who is slacking somewhat. This is not good for him/her. They must know the commands which can be difficult. Currently, there are less than 100 recruits left due to separations. Separations occur when recruits fail make-up exams or simply decide to resign due to injury or by personal choice.

The finale for the first season was on Thursday, August 2, 2007. It is unclear whether Fox Reality will air another season of the show.

Class 355 is made of recruits for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Los Angeles Port Police, Torrance Police Department, Inglewood Police Department, and other departments in Los Angeles County.
