First off please abstain from arguing the validity of the AFI's best 100 lists, since that's not the point of this thread. The American Film Institute has put out several lists which it consider to be the best of. The object of this thread is to challenge people to choose one or more of those lists and try to see all the films they haven't already seen.

Cool idea Movies.

The only list I've seen a lot of is the Heroes and Villains. Even then I've only seen about 6 (movies, not heroes and villains).

Up your damn movie watching!!! Heh I haven't check the other lists because I've been soley focusing on 100 Best Movies, note this is just American Movies, it doesn't include foreign film... If anyone knows of an accredited list of best foreign films, we can add it in to the lists... Because it's a shame not to. Akira Kurosawa's Dreams is one my all time favorite films

Gone With the Wind and 2001... Both movies I've have put off intenionally... Gone with the Wind because it so damn long and 2001 because everyone tells me it's incrediably boring. As for my name... I watch too many damn movies for my own good and there all different sometimes movies slip through the cracks, I'm only 18. How many kids watch Gone with the Wind and 2001 when there kids? But I reckon you're someone I know from the hype under a different alias.

Movies, you didn't like North by Northwest? It was actually my favorite of the top 100 (of the ones I've seen).

I liked it in the beginning but the movie drags for me far too long to the point where it feels like it so damn long, I'm a huge fan of Rope, Strangers on a Train and Rear Window But then again movies like this I tend to appriciate a lot more on second viewings. I remember with Lord of the Rings I felt the same way but upon second viewing loved it, I own it so I'll probably watch it again.
