Leto Atrides said:For me, I've used other people's Macs and seen a feature and thought it was kind of nifty, but never enough to go out and get one. It's kind of a case of, "This Macbook seems really good, but if it costs $1900 as opposed to an equivalent Dell for 1100, I'll deal with the worse interface and occasional glitchiness."
I dunno. You start tweaking PC's so that the components are comparable and you'll be up in the same price range or more as a Mac. The great thing about Macs these days is that they can run Windows natively in a dual-boot configuration or with virtualization software like Parallels. And, the longevity of Macs is much longer. I set my in-laws up with a six year old iMac that still runs the latest and greatest Mac OS. PC's can't do that with Windows. Plus, Macs come with a better software suite out of the box for creativity at home with the iLife suite. At least you've used Macs a little bit before forming an opinion, which is more than most folks do.
