the top ten worst kind of fan boys

I like Trek, but I am certainly not on the level that I would send a death threat to someone.

(eye rolling was at those who did)

Yeah like death notes actually do anything...besides kill people when you write their name in the book

Of course trekkies didn't make the list. We are the best kind of the fanboys and girls...especially me.:ST:

Maybe the writer only looked at theforce.net...everyone there bows to lord Lucas, no matter what.

He should look around more then.

Plus, I have no problem with people sayting positive stuff about the PT. It would be VERY VERY refeshing.

Exactly....I mean, its a shame that I go to the supes boards, spidey boards, and people make assumptions about me because TDK fans have ruined the rep of batfanboys. It's a freaking shame....

Indeed. Everyone thinks we're overzelous and insane. I love the film to death, and will continue to, I just don't feel compelled to post with all those people, they get annoying.

We're just excited and glad a film of this caliber has happened to the likes of Batman and he deserves his success.

But I can understand what people are saying all the time, like it is christ, will heal cancer and should of won all the oscars. But seriously. You have an adult Batman film. Now start acting like an adult.

I never really go to the TDK boards much. Just the caption threads. Most of it is filled with annoying noobies who have "JokerHeathfan" as their name and all they talk about is TDK and Heath and **** and think they're an expert. Annoying as hell.

When I go onto those forums and pop up to see what they're saying, I just have to put on my Bale voice and say, "For ****s sake."

Have you noticed they don't go to any of the other forums? :woot:

Erm...why would I need to look around more? My gripe is with Star Wars fanboys...not Star Wars fans. I hate the people who blindly praise Lucas's new trilogy failing to see the unjustifiable plotholes. After having watched Episodes 1-6 back to back I was disgusted...they barely made sense.

The only good things about the new trilogy were the fights...and that's not really praise. They were impersonal, badly acted, badly written, computer generated sacrilages. Sure the old trilogy wasn't perfect but atleast they were fun.

I disagree. Comic fan boys should be higher up there. It's like geeks who dont want to admit it. A lot of comic fanboys have "toughguys" as their favorite characters and tend to try to be more abrasive / wannabe-tough because thats whats pumping through their system. The other kinds of fanboys tend to know that what they're into isnt what society tends to tolerate, so they arent so liberal. A lot of comic book fans feel the need to try to prove that they are not dorks, or look I can be cool like my favorite hero too.

well that list was fun...

but honestly i have to agree with the points raised about the "nu-batfans". seriously they are bloody ******ed. you mention nolan and they can go on for years about how awesome he's made things, mention timm and dini...nothing...

and it really is boring as hell when you ask someone to explain why WoW is so good. i honestly had a conversation with my mate that was like "so why is it good?" "cause you get to do all this fun crap" "like...?" "well...you kill goblins and make shoes..." "so it's fun for it murder and cobbling combination? awesome game there..." then he got pissed off...

This is comedic, it's like the fanboy cycle. Just like the economic cycle.

1. You begin with a small niche following over a property

2. The property grow, you get proud and talk about it all the time. Get together with like minded fans.

3. Some more things come out and it becomes very mainstream and popular

4. You start hating on it cause it is mainstream and popular and not the small cultish property it was. New mainstream fans not 1337 enough

5. Release something bad, than it gets trashed and you become teH Anti-Fanboy

6. Reboots/restarts, go back to step 1.

Very well said

Fangirls can be annoying as anything, And a vast majority of them can be very unattractive.

And their looks is somehow a mark against them?

I actually know no one who is into the same stuff as I am. Someone in my apartment is a manga fan but that doesn't really match up.

the fangirls i know are pretty attractive so i dunno where he's looking for his fan girls:huh:
I've never seen a bad looking fangirl in my local comic shop but I'm a girl myself I have different standards. (like no visible limps, no excessive acne, not too fat and a good sense of hygiene)

i'll be honest and say i've only ever seen two girls in my comic shop, both of which ticked all the boxes... but yeh, he's just looking in the wrong place for his fangirls i think...
