Looks pretty fun. While the draw distance/blur is pretty bad, it looks like my favorite version of NYC in a Spidey game. The city certainly looks more varied, with a little more life and color in it. Lots of little details that aren't a big deal, but are a nice touch that make it look like a city. Things like the Chrysler Building and The Empire State Building look their best ever in a Spidey game from this brief glimpse.
Web swinging looks challenging, which might be a good thing. I wish I could watch someone who was good at it play, but maybe this is a good sign that it will take time to master. The tutorial tip saying that you can keep your momentum from a web rush looks promising, but I'll have to see how it feels and controls.
The UI looks a little nicer than the last game. I don't miss the NYC thoughts, because I thought that thing was stupid and completely pointless. Their upgrade design still isn't deep or interesting. Instead of unlocking cool new abilities, just like TASM1, it seems that you mostly just unlock stronger versions of things you can already do, or that are unlocked on Step 1 of an upgrade path. And only 3 levels per item is puny. I haven't seen how the suit upgrades work, so I'm interested in that.
It's hard to tell for sure, but from the GamesHQMedia gameplay it looks like you only get one save slot again. Is that a joke? I can't believe Beenox is so technically inept that they can't figure out how to allow multiple game saves like nearly every other action-adventure title out there from the past 10 years. Even the Lego games can do this. What's their excuse? That's really sad.
Another bad holdover from TASM1 that I hated has returned -- having to press Start on the load screen after loading is finished. That is so stupid. It's terrible user interface/usability. I hate having to waste my time watching for the loading to be finished and then pushing Start after an already long load time. And yes, it's only a few seconds, but the frustration of having to always push another button coupled with needing to pay attention to the loading so as to not waste more time thinking it's not finished loading yet is so unnecessarily stupid.
