How was the last game for PS3?
Oscorp's view is on one side of mixed views the game received, I'm more on the positive viewing side, and I agree with him about the combat, the web rush, and some graphics being good

*It's a movie game, although it didn't recycle the movie story, story in movie games is not important

*Swinging is annoying, it's on auto pilot, it's not up to the player to decide when to let go of the webline, and it's difficult to turn left or right while swinging

*Street missions have some variety, but after you are done with street tasks, their is no use in free roaming

*Most game mechanics aren't sharply satisfying

ASM the game was better than average but not by much. The story, missions, and gameplay were serviceable especially for a movie game. The combat was the high point even though it didn't deliver on the same level as say Arkham, it was still pretty fun and the animations and attacks were some of the best Spidey has ever been given in a game. Unfortunately, like the web swinging, much of the control is out of the player's hands, thus removing him/her from the experience of the game. They can improve this.

The worst part of ASM was the lackluster free roam. Only three crimes that are not only non-random they also disappear after completing a certain number. Boring side missions with lacking variety and no true organic feel to the open world and a do-it-for-you swing system didn't help the situation. The bread and butter of any Spider-man game, of those set in NYC, is the free roam. Beenox failed on this aspect. It should be the part of the game they concentrate the most to improve.

Exactly why I hope they learn from Ultimate Spider-Man the game
And I hope they import the fun fluid wall jump as well

Any word on CashForStash working on the game? I'd really love to see some concepts, screens, videos etc. And proper web swinging!

Well, Cash said that if we didn't hear from him (regarding the game), that they are likely using his team's concept.

Also that, if this is the case, he won't be able to post anything from it, in the foreseeable future.

SM2 swinging is all I want. I don't care what they do with the rest of the game.

Wasn't a TASM 2 game confirmed? Someone said that they're doing the mocap for the next Spidey game, I assume it's for TASM 2.

This is what I'm talking about:

Nice find.

EDIT: Found a pic of him in the mo-cap studio:

Oh, to be a fly on that wall. I'd love to see how they do the mocap, render the models, and put it all into the game. Computer work is so cool.

I'm sure they have done mo-cap for the other games, but is this the first time they've used this guy?

So is Lebron going to have a cameo in this game or what?

NBA2K14 style, I'm lovin' it.

What? We don't know anything about this one yet to call it an improvement. Hopefully it's an improvement.

Well true. But its cool to see that they are utilising mocap for this game. I'm pretty sure this is the first time its been used in a spidey game

When did they use it VenomSpawn?

Well, for all we know is that they are filming cutscenes, not game animations.
