Considering they're leading with S6 we may not get to see what that may be. Not if S6 proves to be as underwhelming for people as TASM2.

Personally though I just think it's a case of not leading with your best foot. Even with TASM2's reception, most still seemed to have praise for Andrew at least despite the film's flaws. I question how they could come to the decision to put him and Spidey on the back burner and put their hopes on S6.

Dane also got quite a bit of praise, so they're not completely helpless.

I'd imagine that, if Suicide Squad is a success, people will want so see more SUPER-VILLAIN TEAM UP movies... so that might actually help Sony rather than be competition.

I won't lie, TASM2 is hands down one of the worst films I've seen in a theater in a long time. I don't remember seeing a film that bad where it offered nothing.

I am very mixed about Man of Steel. I think the screenplay sucked and the tone sucked but the cast was perfect (like TASM films) but unlike TASM films, Zod was actually a terrifying villain. He may have gotten his ass kicked by a scientist and a farm boy but he still had that terrifying approach. None of TASM series villains have that. Also MOS fight scenes were pretty cool to see since we've never seen Superman actually fight on the big screen. Still I think that a sequel can redeem MOS like I felt with TASM but I do like MOS better then the 2 TASM films. Not by much compared to TASM1 but it was way better than TASM2. I saw MOS 2 times in theaters and only the second IMAX film I saw.

Iron Man 3 I am mixed about but I love the theme of who makes Iron Man Iron Man? Tony and the suit and the film answered that but the third ****ing Iron Man film where some business guy is the villain?

I don't remember other bad films I have seen because I don't see many films and I certainly don't go to see bad films. I saw Taken 2 but hell 2 hours of Liam Neeson kicking ass ain't a bad thing. The last film TASM2 bad I remember seeing was Transformers 2. Bored out of my ****ing mind with that film.

Well, since it looks that TASM3 is going to be wrapping everything (S6, Venom), I wouldn't mind seeing Ock with that 'armor', it actually looks pretty cool. But I still want to see Mysterio on the big screen. Maybe Kraven, but he's kinda...I dunno if he should be the main villain of a Spider-Man movie. He needs to be with S6, though.

Sony confirmed TASM4 some time ago, but now it doesn't have a release date, yet. It's hard to say if they are going to do it, probably will if they want to keep the rights.

For now:

2016 - S6
2017- Venom
2018 - TASM4

So confirmed a 4th Spidey film but said Spidey may not be in it.

Honestly I have no idea what the next film in TASM series is.

I agree. It's starting to look more and more like we won't get a TASM 4 film, unless the series makes a dramatic turn and somehow wins the hearts of everybody.

I'm starting to believe some of the MCU rumors, actually; but let's not let this thread go there.
