Marvel have made as many mediocre as good movies. Sony are just as capable of providing great Spider-Man movies as Marvel and Marvel are just as capable of providing ones at the level of ASM2

Spider-Man = Good
Spider-Man 2 = EXCELLENT
Spider-Man 3 = Bad
Amazing Spider-Man = Good
Amazing Spider-Man 2 = Mediocre

They've produced more good movies than bad and can do it again easily

The ASM franchise has lots of fans they're just drowned out by the rights crowd



That's what I want too. They should just slow down and focus on makiang Spidey movies with a good central story

Marvel's average RT score is sitting at an 81%. There's nothing "mediocre" about that, despite what he thinks.
And as I brought up in another thread, every Spider-man installment from the past ten years have been mediocre to bad. Sony is not going to magically turn around and surprise us with a great Spider-man film, they've squandered the last three opportunities.

This is why I think Sony's next few Spider-man films will probably fail no matter what: they will be "reactionary" to what worked and didn't work in the past, as opposed to just wiping the slate away clean and telling a good story.

Yeah but Sony is too desperate and with so many people involved... They clearly have no idea and Pascal seems weak. Personally don't think they'd reboot this franchise again with a classic Spidey movie now. They just have to try something different.

we know... a disaster, lol at Avi saying "i´m a firm believer of following the comics" (not exactly that but you get the idea) defending venom and they havn´t really done that with this franchise also they really want to keep spidey but they have no idea how to do a quality product right now

Only a naive person thought they Sony were 100% sure about Sinister Six. That film could easily be canceled. I didn't need the Emails to tell me that.

I like the idea of a Spider-Woman/Spider-Women movie… but I really just don't want Sony making them at this point LOL!

Let Marvel handle the Spidercharacters. I'd love to see a buddy hero movie with Carol Danvers and Jessica Drew. They can bring in Jessica Jones as well.

Which kind of sucks, because they do have Goddard on board for that, and he's talented.

Bring him back over to Marvel Studios and give him the Spidey franchise there. Then he won't have to deal with Loeb on the TV side.

ETA: as good an actor as I think Andrew is, I agree that if the rights revert back to MS, they need to wipe the slate clean from the Sony movies. Which means no more Garfield. I never got into his Peter Parker, maybe because I found him too abrasive and not so geeky, which endeared me more to Maguire's. It could also very well have been the movies surrounding him which presented the bigger issue for me. Who knows. But I think Marvel should start clean.

well, not really i havn´t seen any source of this but a video from the CBC says that Venom, Carnage or both could be the villain(s) of the sinister six and spidey teams up with them to defeat him(or they) and that Spidey got the black suit because he was tired the sinister six "taunting him"
