A little early but with the 2016 (hopefully!) release date set and the little information we have I think I can justify it.

To set this thread off, what villain do you want?

Seeing Mysterio, The Enforcers, and Kraven would be pretty cool.

They would be a great trio together!

I want the Oscorp arc to end with Goblin because he's my favourite (as you can tell from my name).

I think Oscorp is going to be taken care of by the end of the third film, and afterwards the focus will lie elsewhere.

I'm still not convinced of Rhino as a "main" villain in the movies. Henchman, maybe. Anyway, I hope to see more unused villains- Kraven, Mysterio, Vulture.

Where did you hear that Rhino will be a main villain? In TASM2 he's in there just for fun.

Who said Rhino was ever supposed to be a main villain?

Who would I like to see play Mysterio

Theres quite a few I'd like see play Mysterio firstly Zachary Quinto. if they are to go with younger Mysterio Quinto fits the bill nicely.

Also like Dominic West, Jason Issacs or Joaquin Pheonix as the Master of Illusion.

also for a modern take on his costume I really love Daft Punk's Guy Manuel as an idea.

His black leather replaced with brook green leather & a purple half cape similar to Destro GI Joe red cape. Webb seems keen on Ultimate version & this is why I added Daft Punk concept.

Others I'd like to see are Vulture, Chameleon, Jackal & Hammerhead. The Jackal I would like to see but that will depend on Gwen's outcome.

If we are to see an organised crimeboss type threat in these films I'd like Hammerhead.

Todays audience may think he's more a Dick Tracy villain but he's a classic with quite a few good comic stories under his belt.

Old fashioned gangster turned superbaddie not OTT for this franchaise or is it?

:whatever:

Chameleon and Hammerhead have had some interesting team ups in the past.

It may be a nice touch to have Chameleon somewhere down the line since he was Spidey's 1st major comic book foe.

TMIS is Gentleman at this stage and if your not sure on him go check out The Gathering Of Sinister Six.

He is a dangerous chap to mess with. Enough said.

:whatever:

I don`t think so one thing Marc Webb said that MITS
works for Norman if he was The Gentleman then he would not work for Norman there both rich guys he would not work for him at all. Now Chameleon he would I also think the cash thief who killed Uncle Ben was Chameleon disguise as a thief so Peter would become Spider-Man so he can start The Sinister Six.

The Gentleman can still work for Norman Osborn even if he is rich.

So who other than Spidey himself could they make movies of?

Venom
Sinister Six
Carnage
Scarlet Spider
Black Cat

Prowler?

Who else?

1. Venom
2. Sinister Six
3. The Prowler
4. Black Cat
5. Scarlet Spider-Man/Ben Reilly
6. Silver Sable
7. Wild Pack (Silver Sable, Sandman, etc.)
8. Cloak & Dagger
9. Spider-Man 2099

If GOTG does well and sci-fi themed comic book movies become a new trend, I could totally see Spider-Man 2099 working. It would be really hard to do well I think, especially since it would have almost nothing to do with present-day Spider-Man, but they could get really creative with it. Probably a hit-or-miss concept though.

They could introduce alternate universes possibly, afterall X-Men is doing time-travel.

The thing with X-Men is that they are creating alternate timelines by using time travel. I don't think we'll ever see that in a Spider-Man film to be honest.

In the comic books, Spider-Man 2099 technically takes place in an alternate future, but if they were to do it on film, it would probably be a part of the same timeline as Andrew's Peter Parker.

I want it to take place in Tobey's Spider-Man timeline. His Spider-Man even has organic webshooters.

What purpose would that serve? Sony is never going to revisit the Raimi timeline, otherwise they wouldn't have rebooted.

Well that's like saying Marvel should stop making 616 comics because they rebooted it through Ultimate.

Prowler?

Who else?

Slingers who are four teenage superheroes inspired by Spider-Man.

Great News! He did a very good job with TASM and TASM2 might top SM2 as the best in the franchise.

The ones I highlighted I think could work, providing they are in a Spider-Man film first. The rest just can't work for various reasons.

I'd like that, after watching Matt Smith and David Tennant it made me want to see Spider-Men on the big screen!

Crane Dad would make an even better spin off than this IMO :funny:

One movie a year eh?

2016: TASM3 (vs Sinister Six)

2017: Sinister Six spinoff

2018: TASM4 (vs Venom/Goblin)

2019: Venom Spinoff (vs Carnage)

or something.

Do we know for sure if Harry will die in "ASM2?"

Personally, I feel "ASM3" should be Spider-Man vs. Norman and maybe someone like Chameleon or Mysterio. Play with Peter's mind the entire time of who is telling the truth and who isn't; who is really them and who isn't. Plus, throw Black Cat into the mix and you got yourselves a movie where Peter has to be very careful picking sides and who he aligns himself with. In the end, Norman would die by his glider (unless they plan to have Harry die by his own glider in "ASM2") and Harry would find out Spider-Man killed his father.

If Harry doesn't die in "ASM2" and he is locked away in Ravencroft or Ryker's, he could escape with the help of Electro, and they start developing the Sinister Six by movie 3's end into the spin-off film itself.

:yay:

I think many of them *could* work, but they would be very hard to sell. The character I want to get a spin-off most (other than Venom) is the Prowler. Lot's of potential there for numerous reasons:

1- he is the Uncle of Miles Morales, so that opens another door for the future
2- Sony would be giving the first black superhero his own movie
3- he is a bad guy turned good guy
4- because he is "lesser known," they might be able to deviate from the source material a bit more without offending fans
5- he's just a good character IMO
