Best Inker, Best Letterer, Best Colorist: N/A (sorry, don't really take note of that like I should)

Best Story Arc: Sometimes it Snows in April (this one was just smartly written and I'm a sucker for snowy Spider-Man tales... especially as I stare out my window in Massachusetts right now and see a blizzard rage)

Best Single Issue: Flashbacks

Best New Character: Errr.... pass. Can't say any have left a lasting impression.

Best New Villain: Menace

Best Supporting Character: Isn't this the same as Best New Character? Again, pass. Pete's new crowd aint doing it for me.

Best Cover: Amazing Spider-Man #556 (the one with Spider-Man alone stomping through snow. Simple, yet beautiful and evocative.)

Best Moment of 2008: JJJ keels over.

No. Mainly because older supporting characters are still making appearances...(Aunt May, Joe Robertson, Curt Conners, Betty, Harry, etc.,)..old or new, whichever one appealed to you the most.

I agree with everything everyone said except i think best artist should no doubt go to Marcos Martin. JRJR is awesome but Martin really blew everyone away with his art.

JJJ you're from MA me too I see you're from a part that still has electricity.

I agree with everything you said except Anti-Venom over Menace. I had mixed feelings on Anti-Venom, second place would have to go to Kraven's Daughter.

Best Writer - Slott. He gets Spidey more than most, and was the perfect choice to quarterback this whole effort.

Best Artist - Lot's of good and great artists to choose from (JRJR, McKone, McNiven, even Bachalo - yes, Bachalo), but Marcos Martin is definately my new favorite. Someone who understands how to tell a story graphically, not just draw pretty pictures and splash pages.

Best Inker - Klaus Janson - the standard of inkers

Best Letterer - I can't say I'm a good judge of this

Best Colorist - ^ the same AND I'm color-blind

Best Story Arc - NWTD, but I really liked the Paper Doll story.

Best Single Issue - Amazing #574 - Flash's story

Best New Character - Dexter Bennet

Best New Villain - Paper Doll because she's creepy and has a corny "real"name(Piper Dali. Whoever came up with that should either be given a raise or fired. Awesome.) Mr. Negative is a close second.

Best Supporting Character - JJJ had some great moments this year

Best Cover I was going to say the very first one, but after looking through all of them, I decided I really liked this one:

Best Moment Of 2008 - the last panel of Amazing #574, revealing Flash's new status quo. Very moving moment (to me, at least)

 

[Venom 1988]

Best Writer: Zeb Wells and Mark Waid

Best Artist: Despite JrJr. being my favorite artist, I loved Marcos Martin's art. Also I got a soft spot for Chris Bachalo's work as well, specifically in the Snow Arc.

Best Inker: Klaus Janson

Best Letterer: N/A

Best Colorist: N/A

Best Story Arc: "Unscheduled Stop" followed by the Snow Arc

Best Single Issue: "Flashbacks"

Best New Character: Carlie Cooper

Best New Villain: Mr. Negative

Best Supporting Character: Harry

Best Cover: tie between ASM 556 (Spidey in snow field) and 568 (NWTD pt1)

Best Moment Of 2008: To see Shocker and to see him kicking ass

Best Writer: Slott (only by default, he's given us the only issues that aren't total crap.)

Best Artist: Marcos Martin (I love his look

Best Inker: N/A

Best Letterer: N/A

Best Colorist: N/A

Best Story Arc: None of them have been that great. Everything since BND has been pretty crap. New Ways to Die, but even it was overrated.

Best Single Issue: No single issues stands out at all, except perhaps the Flash Thompson one.

Best New Character: None of them. The new supporting cast sucks.

Best New Villain: Paperdoll is interesting. If there's one thing this crap new Spider-Man Universe has, it's interesting new villains.

Best Supporting Character: Mary Jane Watson-PARKER (for all of the one or two issue she's been in.)
