For once Sony wanted their say and everybody got crazy over what they wanted..

to be honest...Raimi could've extended the release date and perhaps improved everything...The CGI..instead of doing everything quickly

maybe this time Marc Webb would be more considerate with what the studio wants because they are the ones paying the bills..
like Harry says..."Oscorp pays the bills" hehe

It's got nothing to do with "say"...Sometimes things just don't work, and I'm sure Sony learned from whatever mistakes they made. SM4 clearly didn't work out because Sam felt there was a bit too much studio pressure and he couldn't make the film he wanted to make. Sony, really, could've pressed forward with that movie if they wanted to...recast if necessary, whatever....but they chose not to. Why? Who knows...but clearly they realized they had an opportunity to make a better film than the one they were aiming to make in the first place....and it shows through the trailers and clips we've seen. No one can say that Sony is putting pressure on Webb to make the film "they" want...this movie has Webb's stamp all over it.

It looks like they learned from past mistakes with SM3 and the unmade SM4. Also, they realize that WB doesn't hover around Nolan so much. He has a lot of creative freedom. So maybe they are learning from that, too.

What is Webb's stamp?

Sony is pushing the whole untold story / parents angle...not Webb. Webb didn't write the script. So the plot and characters in the movie were Sony's doing. Webb likely influenced dialogue and of course direction like action sequences...which we haven't seen before from him. So the most telling of Webb's stamp is dialogue.

They did at first, and with good reason....especially after B&R, I don't blame Warner for being trepidatious. Nolan didn't want a love interest, WB made him put one in. BB was successful enough to warrant a sequel, which gave Nolan a lot more creative freedom...and then he turned around and killed Rachel off. lol.

I hope that's the case with Marc Webb and this series of ASM

That usually leads to better movies so I hope so as well. This movie looks more Sony influenced to me. I hope it lands on the better side of the Wolverine movie.

I never really like Rachel lol. Though she tied in well with Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight.

I hope so, too. Even if the studio did interfere and had more control but the movie turned out well, then that would be fine.

So... this means the blue smoke we see in the trailer is indeed the antidote... the guy who said it on some other topic was right.
Talk about spoilering too much... lol

Thats obvious, the poison itself is green in colour(We see the Lizard releasing it on the cops) so the blue thing has to be the antidote

Yeah its not really spoiling it lol. I just wonder if we will be seeing a bunch of "Lizard men" walking around the city. That would be so awesome.

Well.......

That would be lame and cliche IMO....and corny...B movie corny.

Well it did happen in the comic books, and they hinted to having a SWAT team turning into Lizard men. I don't see how it would be corny. Obviously, Lizard unleashes the formula in the city when he does a "biological" attack on NYC. What would be the purpose of an antidote if nobody was affected by it?

Of course they've had a good say...they're producing the film.

People need to get off the Sony hate wagon....the blame for any bad elements of the previous series do not rest solely on their shoulders.
They wrecked SM3, Raimi wanted Vulture. But this is about The Amazing Spiderman, I just saying I hope they don't, cause im so excited for the film

Lol, seriously? He was literally on screen for half a second, barely enough time to make out any detail.
Well if you check out that still they released a while ago, with the Lizard looking into the closet, you get a great look at his design. Looks creepy haha :)

The only trailer I got to see in 3D was the teaser when I got to see Captain America. I wish they had the trailer in 3D when I saw the Avengers, but it was in 2D. The teaser did look spectacular in 3D though.

I saw the second trailer in 3D at the February event. We were all amazed by the trailer, my friend and I were shaking lol

"They" didn't wreck anything. SM3's failures were a combination of Raimi's writing, Sony's involvement, and Avi Arad's involvement (I try to constitute that as separate from the two because he is truly a hack). It's not uncommon for a studio to desire a certain villain...WB wanted Riddler for TDKR...it all depends on sway...and Nolan practically runs the show with Batman after TDK. In a case like SM3, I can see why Sony wanted Venom...he's a fan favourite (far more so than the Vulture), extraordinarily popular, and people had been asking for him in a film to begin with. Yes, the execution was poor, but I don't blame Sony for wanting to put a more well-known villain in the film...and they let Raimi include Sandman, which Raimi always wanted in a film, being his favourite villain.

wow didnt expect to see so many comments on the youtube vid i posted already...

Not sure if yall have seen this, but Avi Arad and the other producer said that they're checking forums, comments and the like to hear what us fans are saying around the one minute mark

So I saw the latest trailer in 3D (it had a new shot, it had Spidey pulling the car door shut when the thief's trying to leave) AND... the 6 minute footage! (in 3D in case you forgot) xD... this was when I went to watch Prometheus (great film by the way). I thought the 6 minute footage was JUST for the IMAX 3D showing of MIB 3, guess not. This is in the UK btw.

I'm a little hesitant about it too to be honest...

All depends on execution...guess we'll see.
I remember fighting the lizard men in the Playstation 1 game for Spidey. That was fun!

I don't know, I don't think it will be a cheesy scene.
