Pics from the new EW..they're attached. Off the top of my head, here are the interesting things from the article:

The whole idea of looking at Peter's past with his parents came from Marc Webb when he met with Sony and their producers. He also told them he wanted a more gritty approach to the world Peter lives in.

Marc Webb acknowledges there are always cynical people in regards this new iteration of the character, but he's approaching Spidey from a different place than Sam Rami did and is in no way a remake of anything that came before it.

Rhys Ifans says that so many spider-man villains are aware they're villains but with Connors, he really does think he's here to save the world.

The sizzle reel they showed at the event in February was put together by Marc Webb himself.

That was really it as far as anything noteworthy. I've got a couple more pics I'll post

This makes me more happy. They are actually letting Webb do what he wants, instead of the studio forcing their ideas and wants in. They probably learned their lesson with SM3.

Well, the creeper picture doesn't look so menacing. It's nice to defend what you really like, but how can someone say that looks 100% creepy? Lol. He's still smiling.

Awesome if your friends think that, but I simply don't see anything menacing about that.

Yeah it's kind of a smile, but the mouth just opens that way, like in spider-man 3 with Venom.

if you don't think it's the best pic of him then that's fine, you're clearly not just a blind hater

If you go with the image of him possibly sexually assaulting you, it gets creepy trust me.

I do not want to get raped by Lizard....haha.

Yah, I'm definitely not a hater at all. I've just brushed off all of those Lizard promos because he looks awesome in the trailers...maybe that's it though. Much like Spidey's suit, it looks better on film and only "meh" on a picture.

Also...SSH! is being weird, so I can't quote or multi-quote any posts because it won't let me right now, lol.

Spidey's suit has looked fine in both trailers and stills to me.

Yes and no. There will always be studio notes to follow, sometimes for good and sometimes for bad, it's just about how you handle them as a writer. Marc Webb said in an interview, I think the one that came out when the last trailer came out, that there certain things Marvel made sure he stuck to and had to be in the movie, Ben's death being one of them and I'm not sure what else they make mandatory for a spider-man film or any iteration of the character. If they said Kraven had to be in the next movie, it'd be on he and the writers to make it work right. Studios have a lot of investors to answer to so the hope is that the fans are happy and the investors. They also have toys to make lol, so if I'm doing a batman movie and want to sell a toy that doesn't look like the same toy from three years ago, I have to come up with an intelligent coherent reason for a new costume. While I'm sure they're letting him do his thing, I'm sure there are still mandates that came from Sony and Marvel about what he could and couldn't do and even some things he had to do

im not sure is folk are serious when they say the lizard is smiling in that pik. its just the way his mouth is and seeing him in motion will be the real judge

Sweet shot of Lizzy.

Will be at MIB3 IMAX in 4 hours and will be seeing the 6 min sneak peek for ASM. Can't wait!

Goes without saying, but please post back with your reactions to the footage. Have fun!

I really hope Gwen Stacy dies in the third installment. I think they really need the audience to fall in love with her character. By using two films, even though it's probably possible with just one, will definitely make it all the more tragic.

I like the idea in concept, but then we may never see Webb's version of Mary Jane. With AG at around 28 years old, his shelf life for making these movies is quite limited. I wonder if the plan is for him to make 3 movies total, or open-ended for more.

I thought in an interview, Webb stated he was not interested in the character of Mary Jane. That Gwen Stacy was Peter's first true love and that's something he wants to explore. I could be wrong but I could have sworn he said this.

Also, he has been talking a lot about how he is interested in the Gwen Stacy story arc. I REALLY want him to bring that story arc to life on screen. I think he could do a phenomenal job. As many have already said, I think it would be one of the most emotional scenes to hit the silver screen in a long time.

I just think the audience needs to grow attached to the Gwen Stacy character and by doing this, two films play an integral role in that. Then, they get their heart strings ripped out. A lot of fans have been posting synopsis's where they want the story arc to transpire into two films. They want Green Goblin to kill her in the second film and then have Spidey get his revenge in the third film.

Again, it's about character development. I think we should get an nice introduction/demonstration of how corrupt Osborn is in the second film and THEN get his Green Goblin in the third.

That's how I would do it at least.

The stills are easy to nitpick at with certain areas that still get on my nerves, but everything just looks amazing during the trailers. Or, at least that's how I feel about it.
