Final trailer!? WTF!?

if it were the final trailer that would be for the best. the latest trailer shows too much as it is. you can actually piece together the plot beats if you try hard enough. I'm certainly not watching another trailer before the movie.

Thanks guys about that scene in the sewers. If he's getting the vibrations from the webbing, it sounds like a magnificent and brilliant scene.

Agree. We don't need anymore official trailers, especially in this day and age when we have multiple tv spots and sneak peak clips before a movie comes out.

if spidey eyes flash blue to represent the spider sense how will they show that when he is wearing a mask?

webb - 'he's not going to be wearing a mask very often'*

spider-neil - :cmad:

*webb didn't actually say that

How about this? :40 seconds in.

@Kedrell He's entirely CGI. Sony Imagework/Legacy questionable work of creating realistic creature CGI work confirmed that if we didn't have enough confirmation enough from Rhys himself. :funny:

The prosthetic work was only used in the moments right before his full transformation. When he has a couple of scales and slimmer skin and such.

Legacy isn't a CGI house but their work is anything but questionable.

It's Stan Winston Studios. These guys are easily the best in the business when it comes to practical effects and prosthetics.

They worked on the Lizard's design and his prosthetic make-up.

They do but they're specialty is animatronics, prosthetics, makeup, etc. Basically, practical effects.

Just like on the Iron Man films. ILM created the visual effects but Legacy were the ones that designed and built the actual suits.

Noticing something cool about Peter messing with the web shooters. There's a little snippet here where he's messing with a small disc with holes in it:

And then when he fires the mechanism it produces the actual web pattern in the middle of the wreath.

So I'm thinking that without the little disc to pass through, the web line would just be a regular looking thread instead of creating a web pattern when it impacts. Pretty cool thought if that's accurate. Love this scene in general, it reminds me of the panels in the early Spidey comics of Peter working on the web shooters.

Stan Winston himself when directly involved churned out nothing but greatness unfortunately he's no longer alive and John Rosengrant ain't no Stan Winston. He might have studied under him but there will only be one Stan and he's unfortunately passed on.

Sony Imagework being in charge of the CGI of their design furthers my point on how mediocre it looks in terms of realism compared to say Davey Jones or even the Prawns from District 9.

I stand with what I've said because most their work since Winston passed away hasn't been anything as great as when he was alive. It's no longer the same studio.

^ Nice. I am looking forward to those scenes in general as well. Just seeing how he creates everything and puts it all together.

Oh hell yeah. I remember hearing about that a while back too. It looks sick! The scene in it's entirety should have some really cool elements to it and hopefully a bit of a horror edge.

This is sort of true. As long as they market the movie well in the coming months, we should be all set.

Which movies specifically have you had problems with Legacy's recent work? I haven't seen this drop in decline of their work in recent years but I'm extremely curious as to what your referring to.

Which company that specializes in practical effects would have preferred they hired to tackle the Lizard's design and prosthetics?

Looks like merchanidse is really starting to poor out for this film now. We're getting closer, lol.

The trailer really really impressed me. An awesome trailer overall and it blew the first teaser from back in july away.

Let's put it this way, I'm much more excited for it now than I have been.
