First two Spidey movies are legendary and would make my Top10 comic book movies. SM3 is entertaining but I really don't wanna think much about that and ASM1 is nice (thanks to AG/ES) but full of plot holes (thanks to Sony). However this one... yeah, nice visuals and Giamatti as Rhino could be fun b ut the rest is just awful. AWFUL. I'm sorry, I'm not a hater and really would like to enjoy this movie but...No, just no. 1/4

Yeah. Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone really saved the movie. To me the only scene that makes this worth watching is Gwen´s death. I think it was really well executed. The rest...i wouldn´t call it awful...i would simply call it weak.

What would you do with TASM3 to make it a classic Predator?

Yup, he rocked that role! And when he comes in from behind Electro, rubbing his hands with that grin upon his face while saying, "How spectacular of a move is this"... lol! Dehaan is so cool:woot: And also his line, "So, Ferry godmother. It's time for you to grand_me_a wish". Haha, love him:cwink:

You know that scene where Harry used Electro as backup to get into Oscorp had some T2 vibes about it. Dehaan does remind me a bit of Furlong, maybe it's just that.

I don´t know exactly. I don´t get paid to think too much about those things. That´s a writer´s job. But a few things would happen for sure:

- Only one villain. And make him more layered and complex with more interesting motivations.

- No more villains created by Oscorp because of accidents or experiments. That´s a tired storyline.

- A little less action, a little more character development. Also, less CGI. More practical fights scenes.

- Enough of Peter whining around because of girls. At least for one movie.

- A more realistic portrayal of the impact of Spider-Man´s existence in the world.

- More of Peter Parker as a journalist

I've got to say, we have a really different taste in movies, some of those things wouldn't have really come to mind if I was asked the same question.

Not a bad thing, just shows why we have such a huge difference regarding our thoughts of the film

I didn´t dislike any Spider-Man movie. I just feel they all follow a very similar path. That´s why it would be nice if they were willing to put that "Blueprint" aside for a little while. Try new things. Innovate. Think less about the visual spectacle and more about the characters and the story.

Personally, while I had some flaws with the way a few things were handled (feels too early to have killed off Gwen, especially as Harry's only just be (re-)introduced), these two Amazing Spider-Man films have already done a lot more than all three of Raimi's combined. As there's, what, five more to come I'm confidant that future films will address the pacing and content balance now that we've established what this new Spider-Man world is all about.

Did you like the characters in this franchise? Peter, Gwen, Aunt May and Harry Osborn I thought were all top notch.

They could go for super dark in the next movie, Gwen's dead, Spiderman is sad and we have a villian whose primary goal is just to be a sadistic *** to spiderman, that'd be a change from the lighthearted nature of previous films.

I liked Gwen´s death. My only problem is that they might substitute Gwen/Emma by a less interesting character and a less talented actress, and i don´t know what would be the benefit of doing that.

Who has more pulling power then Emma Stone? As in an actor that could "replace" Emma in both an acting sense and also the marketing sense. The only person I can think of is Jennifer Lawrence but she's already in X-men and the Hunger Games so I don't think she's even available.

It´s not easy to substitute Emma. I doubt we will see someone better than her in the next movie.

Each to their own but none of those things bothered me.

Holy crap, you're right. That scene was badass too - kinda lucky that
Electro's shock brought Feore's character back to life though...

By the way. I feel sad for those expecting a Rhino fight, when there are absolutely NON!

I'm just disappointed that that the Rhino was spoiled. He should have been a big surprise. Though I guess it was impossible to keep it one, since they filmed it in public.

I feel like hiding Goblin would've been a lot better to be honest.
Just imagine watching that transformation scene without knowing what he would look like!

Goblin would have been a lot better if things were slowed the heck down! I don't feel like we even got a good look at him, he was moving the entire time, apart from a short sequence that has a closeup of his face. In the end, all those annoying 'evil Ed' comments from 'you-know-who' didn't actually matter as a result.

But the funny thing is that there's absolutely NOTHING to spoil. That's the point. That's the manipulative & dumb part of it. It's all one great big build-up to something that never happens in the movie. Fans are expecting a Rhino battle, but they won't get one. I personally couldn't give any less **** about him, cause I thought he was an idiotic and irritating character in this film!! But still, for them to show Rhino in the trailers where it looks like him and spidey will have a major showdown, when in fact they won't - That's a cheat!

While I do wish Goblin had more screen time I feel like we got a pretty good look at him. When he first appears and talks to Spidey it's a pretty decent shot. BUT! I did want to see more of the glider!

Plus, I doubt she'd be interested in playing second fiddle to the extent that a superhero love interest requires. I have to say, I was perfectly ok with Shailene. I'm sure she would have been a good-to-great MJ.

Guys, need help with something. Need some theories.

Here's my problem at the end of this film; it seems that both Webb and Garfield are going to be done with the franchise after AMAZING 3. At the end of this film and with the revelation about Peter's parents and how they relate to the overall scheme of OSCORP, how does Peter NOT face off again the Sinister Six...even with the knowledge that we're getting a Sinister Six spinoff film?

I mean, when this film is over, it practically states that Spider-Man's got six BIG ASS problems ahead of him in the next film. How do they do a Sinister Six spinoff and yet not have him face the SIX in the climax of AMAZING 3?

It doesn't make sense to me to set up this massive OSCORP villain hierarchy and not have Andrew Garfield possibly not go up against them if AMAZING 3 is his final film of the franchise. The last thing I want to see is for Peter to go up again the Sinister Six in AMAZING 4 and it's not Garfield.

I still think they're going to throw the Sinister 6 at him in the next movie. Giamatti is already signed up for TASM 3.

Then why the spinoff? If Spider-Man's not in the SIX spinoff, what's really the point after we've almost been introduced to some in this one?

Just not getting the why of doing SINISTER SIX, VENOM, and then AMAZING 4, unless AMAZING 4 starts a whole new story arc.
