So, the Smithsonian is doing an exhibit of video games, and they're letting people vote on which games should be included.

I've already voted and some of the choices and categories are a little odd to say the least, but overall I think they did a pretty decent job.

Got any thoughts on video games being included in a museum? Or what games do you think should be included, but weren't options?

Hmm, interesting concept and overall nice choices. I'm a little disappointed by the lack of fighting games (especially Virtua Fighter).

Bump.

Can't say I agree with most of them. I would have listed the Total Wars games. As far as I'm aware the Total War games are one of the few (only?) video games that have actually transcended being only used as a means of personal entertainment outside of pure simulators. Aside from that, you basically have an open ended interactive Akira Kurosawa epic. It's like those great battle paintings you see museums that take up 6 foot of wall, except in thise case they move, you control them, they age, have children and die.
