Amell is far from 'wooden'. He's impressed a lot of people including myself with his Oliver Queen portrayal and badass action scenes as (Green) Arrow. Would be sweet seeing him, Cavill, and Ben (a Wayne Enterprises vs Queen Industries thing) together even if it is a brief scene.

As for Gustin as Flash, I wouldn't be averse to it, the boy looks really good and it would be great for him. Although an established star like Gosling or Paul or whoever would still carry great weight in the role. Exciting times.

Gustin looks really, really young but I guess that's not the worst thing... even though these characters are all portrayed as around the same age in the comics, in real life that probably wouldn't be the case.

I don't think The Flash TV show will be connected to Flash in the Justice League movie. They're separate.

This Gustin kid looks so scrawny, skinnier than Gal Gadot even?

I know Flash is not famous for muscles but won't he look extremely puny next to Cavill and Affleck both of who are very big in their roles?

I honestly prefer him look small next to them, fastest person I've ever met only weighed 130, so I have no issue with Flash being small, particularly if they make him even faster than Supes.

He is kind of scrawny to be honest. But it's not like the rumoured Flash actors are massive. Aaron Paul is slim while Gosling does have muscle, in an Olympic Athlete way as opposed to the Big Henry Cavilltron 9000.

Yeah, Flash just needs to be fast, not real muscular. But again, he'd have months to add muscle on if need be. and he has the height. However, I don't know if they'd really bring him into the films.

Gustin did a great job. But if they're not gonna use him for the big screen, WB needs to stop "friend-zoning" Scott Porter and cast him as Barry Allen. Just ****ing cast him for something in the DCCU.

No idea, flas is one of the JL members for whom i have no one in mind.

Him being in the big screen seemed so bisarre, almost farfetched, and now...

I know this isn't an "Arrow" thread, but what do you all think the flash suit will look like in the show? They have done a pretty good job so far on the character's costumes, but Flash is a tough one.

the only talks we've heard about so far have me feeling optimistic about it looking very much like the Flash.

I think I read that the FLASH suit will not appear on ARROW but will debut in his own show.

Sweet! I actually loved the 90's Flash series too - thought the suit looked pretty damn good - for TV especially! If Arrow can produce something that is somewhat faithful to the comics, but looks great on screen...my faith in comic book TV shows will be complete. I just hope Marvel's Netflix-exclusive superhero shows don't jump the shark...I'm still not feeling S.H.I.E.L.D. - haven't watched for several episodes...anyone recommend getting back into it?

I watched arrow last night and really liked Gustin take on Flash but I think his calibre of acting only works for TV imo.

I saw a little Andrew Garfield in him, which gives me confidence that he can do even more with better material.

I was actually just thinking about that 10 mins ago as I watched the new Spiderman trailer.

I know it's not a perfect system, but combined with his performance, I really like the character's future. He probably won't be the MoS Flash, so I'm not too worried about it.

I also wouldn't mind Logan Lerman in the part. He's shown a pretty good range in his young career. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0503567/?ref_=tt_cl_t1

I think he looks a bit like a young Vincent Cassel - a bit...

I was pumped for Barry Allen on Arrow last night, and I was hoping he'd be good enough for a movie, but he simply isn't. He's not that good of an actor, I wasn't very impressed. He's fine for Arrow, but he wouldn't work for a movie. We definitely need to keep that version separate

I was actually looking at pictures of Cassel and found this one...I know it's only one shot, but does it remind anyone else of a certain supervillian?

Exactly how I feel. Honestly, I love that show, and I tune in every week, but the calibre of acting on that show in general wouldn't work for film. Amell is great on Arrow, but I think he needs to grow as an actor before appearing on film.
