Matthew Goode would make a brilliant Riddler

Weirdly he seems like an incredibly ambiguous actor in the sense that there are multiple characters in the DCU he seems capable of playing rather well. Riddler, Lex Luthor, to a degree I could also see him as Aquaman/Nightwing.

Matthew Goode who's apparently had talks with WB is probably up for Barry Allen/Flash in my opinion.

I'm talking about our white washed minded Kevin Smith.

Seriously man? That's not true and you know it. He (like me) prefers for beloved comic characters to retain the same appearance that he's used to.

The poster Kevin Smith is not a racist. He is a comic book purist. Just like me. If it were up to me, and I was casting these comic movies, my criteria would be 40% looking like the source material and 60% good acting.

This is just a preference, and every time they have race swapped a comic character I've dug it. Except for Halle Berry as Catwoman. MCD as Kingpin was inspired casting though, and i really wanted Donald Glover as Spider-Man. If an actor is absolutely perfect for the role, they should be cast, regardless of race. But TYPICALLY, i prefer for characters to look the same way as they traditionally look.

Relax! I should add a smiley next time for jokes and sarcasm.

But that guy did choose Dane Cook over a much talented black actor....

This is basically how I feel, race change just for the sake of diversity is pointless, there are characters that they don't have to race change that can do that, however race change isn't gonna end my world if the person they cast is able to put out an exceptional performance, race change in my opinion simply raises the standard to which I'm gonna hold the persons acting. There are some exceptions though for characters whose appearance I feel are too iconic to mess with (primarily Superman and Batman), and characters whose race is genuinely a part of their character.

I would totally change Bruce Wayne....Elba would be my Bruce Wayne.

Most wouldn't like it. lol

But this is why we armchair directors.

Thank you, Rorschach.

There were rumors of a latino Flash....can't wait for your reaction if true.

Already gave my reaction, along with my thoughts on the U.N. JL: sucks.

Anyway looking forward to The Flash show and more of Gustin as Barry.

Idris Elba and Denzel Washington are no better suited for The Flash than is Woody Allen.

Out of your options, yeah, I will take a crappy poor man's Ryan Reynolds to play a crap Flash in a crap Flash movie anyway.

Way to take everything out of context.

I wouldn't be too upset by Latino Flash, so long as the actor nailed it.

Also really looking forward to The Flash with Gustin, should definitely more than fill the wait between now and 2016.

Just because someone is a very talented academy award winning actor does not mean they are right for all or even most parts, regardless of race.

Yeah...you stay right in your chair with that. Idris Elba is so overrated on these boards.
