Not sure why they drenched the clip in red. If it's not related to the movie's plot/themes, it only reinforces Daredevil vibe. Along with the cowl. I'm glad the eyes aren't covered, though.

Yup Sawyer laughed at someone who was worried about it and said it was obviously not his final look.

I disliked it at first and hoped his look would evolve, but I got to be okay with it in the movie.

I see this as something very similar to that first Joaquin Joker look, actually.
It looks... recognizable but different from what everyone was expecting and extremely intriguing.

I love how different it is compare to other batsuits that we have seen on the big screen. Got its own look and identity. Also this is going to be year 2 of RP being Batman and this supposed to be a trilogy. He suit might evolved in other movies.

I love how it feels like Nolan’s second suit, done more barebones/realistic (no help from Fox). At first I thought it looked metal-y, but it does have that clean plating ala “rubber” yet doesn’t feel like a Schumacher suit.

I’ve always wanted a soft cowl in live action.

Only glaring downside is the cape, looks too leathery... really miss-the Nolan cape.

Camera tests usually aren't final looks right? I mean like costumes aren't fully finished with everything polished and ready to film for the final version of the film.

Just saying things can get tweaked like the collar or cowl

Why would they not do camera tests of the final suit? What’s the point of a camera test if not to see how that exact costume will look on film? Why wouldn’t a blockbuster of this level take the couple hours in pre-production to do a camera test of the most recent costume just to be safe?

First impression... not a fan. We've been discussing aspects of the suit having a homemade feel. The suit is there now, albeit partially, and having that look now I say based on personal preferences it's slightly off. Do away with the collar. The jaw is too exposed (Patz has a godly jawline, but revealing too much is too much). The cowl would look better with no visible stitches.

Need to see it in full color and context (story and tone) for proper assessment.

I mostly enjoy that is without a doubt a different take as far as live action goes. The collar will take some getting use to for me, but I personally like the cowl, armor, and symbol. The brief score is fantastic. Overall it gives off a raw sublimity as far as cinematography goes.

I really want to see a whooshing, lengthy cape and medium sized ears though.

Also, a villains screen test would be fire. Lol

Sure sure. I feel ya. The collar is my only slight “complaint” if you can call it that. I like everything else, but execution and situation matter like you said.
