Dark grey will be the primal color, no doubt of that. Very industrial.

But, relax man, we don't have a Batman Begins wannabe in hands.

Just from this first look we can say it will be very unique from past versions.

I really hope this is a trilogy because I wanted see what Matt Reeves is going to do with Bruce Wayne’s arc throughout the trilogy. I really liked how he handled Caesar’s arc in the two Apes movies. Since this will be during Batman year 2, I’m sure the batsuit is going to have a transformation throughout the trilogy.

I'm most certain it will.

From what I can tell.. not a fan.. wouldn’t say I hate it just yet but CLOSE! Looks like a cosplay hybrid of Dare-Devil, Gotham By Gaslight and Arkham Knight. It just pains me to see this heading in the techy route again, cause the BvS suit was beautiful! I really wanted to see a more simplistic take, almost like Batman: Dead End did, closer to a Brian Boland/Greg Staples look.

I did not like the affleck suit honestly, and that, I feel, looked WAY more like a cosplay. This feels authentic and REAL, which is what i love. similar to the Nolan suits.

The overall aesthetic of the film comes into play here as well. Whatever opinions I have about the BB and TDK suits, they fit the Nolan aesthetic. You couldn't just take the Batfleck suit and plug it into the Dark Knight trilogy. Seeing Battinson in a red-saturated test video won't have the same impact as seeing him in actual context of the film - inhabiting Matt Reeves' Gotham City and facing Matt Reeves' rogues.

What is interesting is the color that Reeves used. Remind us of course of Btas. But we know that he talked about influences like Taxi Driver too. And the first look is very dark.

the score really evokes Taxi Driver. Almost has a jazzy feel to it.

I love the nolan movies but if they had a half decent costume then it would have been much better. The dark knight and dark knight rises especially. The dark knight would be close to batman 1989 with a good batsuit.

I hate the batsuits. I thought begins wasnt that bad, just super stiff.

Batfleck has been the best so far. But still not perfect as it is too big imo.

This. We arent seeing the suit in context, just a shot standing in a room somewhere. How many suits for these films have we all thought look off until the movie comes out? How about vice versa...

Each Batman is going to make a suit that works best for them. Pattinson couldnt wear an Affleck like suit it would be a burden on him. Affleck couldnt wear the TDK suit. (it would look like he was wearing a leotard The suit has to look like something Bruce Wayne in that universe would build for himself at the time. Something that would protect him and not make him miserable in it. I am sure Matt Reeves has reasons it would look as such. It remains to be seen if they work though

And lets be honest...if someone decided to truly be Batman tomorrow they would armor the **bleep** out of their suit! They would definitely not be wear hockey pads

Not 100% on the chest emblem, but otherwise I love the aesthetics. Really looking forward to seeing this in the context of the film. And damn does Pattinson's chin look good in that mask!
