If they use Joaquin as Joker, it'd be an alternate version of the Joker that's not Arthur Fleck and is more comic accurate and I'd be ok with that and I legitimately don't see how anybody could complain

This would be fantastic in every way.

Jonah Hill as The Joker? I don't they'd go for him after how negotiations for this film went.

All my dreams would have officially come true if we saw Calendar Man in this film. Hell even the trilogy in general

I don't want villain spinoffs, unless it's Catwoman, but if we do get them then it's whatever :/ I just hope they actually move the story along in someway, (whatever that story will be)

Yeah a Catwoman spinoff makes sense. She eve had her own solo movie back in the day!

Ahem.

But yeah, I don't want to see a Penguin solo about how he was bullied as a kid. A Bat shared universe CAN work, but you need to focus on the actual Bat Family.

I'm a thousand times more interested in a Riddler spin-off movie with Paul Dano rather than a Batgirl or Nightwing movie to be honest

I just can’t get behind this idea.
I LOVED Phoenix as the Joker but there’s plenty other actors that could give us great Jokers.
It would be dumb to have the same actor playing two different versions of a character.

I know you weren't talking to me personally but imo.

I like both Dano and Riddler. But in a shared universe a Riddler solo has no purpose. If it was stand-alone then yeah I'd take it.

I want Batgirl mainly so that we don't have to spend a Batman film building up her character. You introduce her in a Batfilm. Build her in a solo. And then cripple her in another Batfilm.

I don't even want Nightwing.

Gimme Catwoman and adapt her missions from Arkham City, Ivy, Two-Face and all. Throw in Penguin and Croc, maybe Black Mask to fill some spots.

Phoenix doesn't want to do a recurring role anyway. He only did Joker because it was a character study. And if he does a sequel it'll be because similarly it'll be a character study

I'm all for a Catwoman solo film. Not sure how I'd feel about a Riddler or Penguin solo film though.

Villains should be case to case IMO. 90%+ of them aren't even solo material. However, many could work in an origin film, like Joker. Even then, it would be much better if they are not connected to Reeves' Batman and just be their own films.

A Riddler movie that's all about him caredully planning and executing insane cerebral schemes all while dealing with his gigantic ego and compulssions would be absolute fire.
A Penguin film that's all about scheming and trying to survive as a crime boss and dominate the Gotham underworld even tho it's full of crazies and while he's dealing with his pathetic inferiority complex would also be fire.

I'd take those two films before Nightwing or Batgirl any day.

I completely and utterly disagree. WB doing that is so reactionary to what joker was. Im sorry but no other batman villian will be joker and what the joker movie was.

How about we focus on the characters who have never been done before or I dont know superman? Flash? Green lantern? Nightwing? Batgirl? Supergirl? Hawkman? Green arrow? Constantine? Black canary? Zatanna? Catwoman? Blue beetle? Batman beyond?

I think standalone movies based on Two Face or Lex Luthor would work much better than Riddler or Penguin. There are only a handful of villains that could carry a movie as well as Joker did.

Nah.

To put it plainly, if a movie about one of Batman's least humane and most homicidal villains can become the most profitable comic book movie of all time, while being good enough to be guaranteed at least an Oscar nomination? I don't see why a movie about any of Batman's other villains can't work.

Joker was by far more of questionable villain to lead his own movie. If he can do it, Riddler and Penguin can, make them movies about bad guys doing bad guy things, it'll be interesting and fun.
