I do believe it's part of the suit. It seems like something this Batman would carry with him.
That's a bit too much for a grounded take. I personally don't think that Gotham needs to be permanently in the state of pure misery with rain/fog/snow or whatever. Being just run down is enough. Various weather effects can add drama or suspense, but I don't think it needs to be like in Blade Runner movies, where climate and ecology went to **** so stuff is constantly falling from the sky.
On the second thought, depending on how much time passes during the course of the movie. Maybe it can be like the first Max Payne. One long incredibly cold night with the worst blizzard in history of New York.
If Se7en is a big visual influence it could very well be raining all the time.
And I think this will be the first time Batman will seem comfortable in his suit.
They're pretty much seems to take this movie as seriously as Todd Phillips JOKER, which IMO is the way to go with Batman.
This entire scene is chill inducing for how well done it is. And then it all culminates in han Zimmer's horns blasting beautifully. One of the many reasons, in my mind, that The Dark Knight is an actual masterpiece. I also loved all the fights in the trilogy tbh. I know people criticize some of the fight scenes but I always thought they were well done, and especially something like the sewer fight with bane, was just so intense to me. Easily one of my favorite fight scenes of all time

Sorry maybe I've posted this in the wrong thread!I went down to the filming at the Necropolis in Glasgow yesterday. They were filming a shot where Batman and what I presume is Catwoman are riding their bikes in opposite directions from each other but the camera view point was from the Batcycle wing mirror. So it looks like the shot will show Batman's left hand on his bike with Catwoman riding away in the mirror. Took some photos and spotted the name 'Vengence' on the clapperboard during takes. Picture attached. So presumably this is the dummy filming title, or the 2nd units filming title.

Yeah that sounds about right. I left about 6:30pm when they finished that shot, but they were continuing further up into the Necropolis, but I think it might have been more bike shots using the doubles. Rumour from another guy there was that they were also filming Sunday night at Hartwood Hospital (abandoned) using it as an orphanage. So possibly 1st unit with RP was filming there. It does seem like it was 2nd unit because there were no sight of Matt Reeves and I don't think that guy was RP.
I feel like that was the point. You can't really do gritty realism in a universe where Superman and Wonder Woman exist as well. But looking back at that fight, Snyder obviously took inspiration from the Arkham games. His use of gadgets, fighting multiple people at once, and even tossing the crate reminds me of those games.Awesome scene, I never had an issue with the fights from Nolan.
Trouble with Batfleck, it was to perfect, it wasn't realistic... it was a comic come alive, but I always knew I was reading a comic and never saw realism.
The Batman has a real human element - like to me, the emphases is on man - which really grounds the hero and lends to what was said 'batman isn't a super hero'. It make shim great because he is a man.
Batfleck could have been kryptonian for all I knew.
Agree. The only issue I have with Bale, and bat fleck made it worse... he seemed a small batman.

Or a modernized 60s one, but Giacchino already said he's not doing callbacks. That theme is way too obscure. If we're gonna get any callback to a previous theme, it'd probably either be Elfman or Walker

Love that theme. Very underrated (the show itself was only ok, some good some bad)Over/under 2% we get The Edge's The Batman theme from the cartoon in the end credits of this movie?
Speaking of The Batman, I probably should feel guilty about never giving that cartoon a chance, but how does anyone really follow up BTAS? It was a tall task, I’m sure.
I love the last part of that theme, but I'll go with Invader Joker's negative 100% on that.Over/under 2% we get The Edge's The Batman theme from the cartoon in the end credits of this movie?
