The BEER Appreciation Thread!

What is double chocolate beer? Beer and choclate mixed or a dark bitter?

It's a Stout brewed with Pure Dark Chocolate. It's also yummers.

eh. I'm more of a rum guy myself.

Captain Morgan's Private Stock is where its at.

I secretly love Budweiser...

I don't even know why really. It's just what I always end up drinking.

I have yet to have a beer that I've liked off the bat. Although the other night I had a dream about having a beer and it was the best thing ever. I can't remember the name on the bottle though...

strong and expensive, but well worth it.

That Thomas Hardy I had, $27 for a 4-pack.

Just picked up a case of Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ale. I'll give my thoughts later. Waiting for it to chill.

Hmm....I like me some Corona and the occasional Yuenling but above all..

....I prefer me a Good Ol' Guinness......

I only really like Smirnoff Ice and some of that Captain Morgan stuff. Based on this wonderful earth-shattering info, what beer would be good to drink?

Sam Adam's Lauger sucks.

Bud Light is so-so.

Coors Lights OMG :csad:

Labatt Blue Light

Falcons + Old Rasputin... snowing...

Yes.

Well there's your problem, you're buying chilled piss, not beer. :o

Which Sam Adams Lager did you try? Their Boston is gross, but the Winter Lager is delicious.

It seems like you haven't tried much in the way of beers, so I would recommend exploring ales, first.

You also may want to buy a sampler pack of beer. They're very easy to find around the holidays.

For all the Micro Brew fans out there. There is a documentary called Beer Wars. They follow the Micro Brews and assess the impact they are having on In Bev (Budweiser) and the Miller/Coors Company. It also shows some of the tactics being used by the big boys to try and fool consumers looking specifically for micro brews. It's pretty good.

Here is my updated List.
Bud Light (eh, last time I had one it was in a can and was alright though)
Bud Light Lime (eh, drinkable.)
Budweiser (I was buzzed when tried it, in sober state it's meh)
Coors Lights (Please God...no...)
Labbat Blue (It alright. I like it most)
Moosehead ( Meh/Eh/So-So
Smirnoff Ice (Losing my taste for it, rather not go back)
Smirnoff Ice Mango (tasty)

I forget what kind of Sam Adams I had...I didn't like it though.

I'm surprised you don't have Pabst Blue Ribbon on there.

Venture out ETM. Most of those beers are girl beers.

My favorite beer of all time:

Leinenkugel's

So smooth and delicious...

I prefer wheat ales. Has anyone else had these and could you recommend other wheat ales?

I'm a guy that watches romantic comedies, daytime soaps, and romantic movies...along with more mainly movies...girl beers don't bother me.

Labatt Blue ain't girlie. :cmad:

I do need to try more though...have to wait though...also, does beer go flat? Cause what is left of the Moosehead and Budweiser I can't put in the fridge. In fact, I never seem to have room for a 6 pack in the fridge when I do buy some.

ETM, most of those beers are very cheap, watery beers. The main people I know of who drink them are alcholics, as you can purchase cases of them for not much $$. :csad: You need to expand your horizons.

Yuengling is my 'go to' beer, as I refuse to drink Budweiser and the likes.
Samual Adams is next in line.

Most of the time, I drink outside the box and pick up any beer I have not yet tried. Top of my list for those types. . . Innis and Gunn.
