That's a good list....that is freaking me out.

Madman Mundt!

You win for having the most refreshing pick. What a great movie.
For sure, and John Goodman is a very underrated actor.

Man, with the Norman Bates one I thought it was just a picture and I had it sitting there as I was doing something in a smaller window when suddenly out of the corner of my eye he looked up at me! Nearly shat myself.

Another good one I don't think anyone has mentioned is Gene Tierney in Leave Her to Heaven. Just a completely evil woman but also ridiculously attractive. Makes for confusing thoughts.

Here's one I've never seen mentioned in such discussions: The Zodiac in David Fincher's Zodiac. Never clearly seen or even defined as any one suspect, his presence nevertheless infests the film like a tumor.

Also, the Lake Berryessa attack is one of the most chilling physical assaults I've ever seen in a movie. It manages to be quirky, very darkly humorous, suspenseful, and finally just downright unnerving in its cold brutality.

I've had that movie for years, and just watched the other night. Great film. I know exactly what you mean about the killer.

Just a few.

Harry Powell-The Night of the Hunter
Bruno Anthony-Strangers on a Train
Brandon Shaw-Rope

They're excellent sociopaths.

Nice ones, especially Powell in that disturbing great classic.

A new favorite of mine:

Michael Gordon Peterson ; a.k.a Charles Bronson
