There have been many versions of optimus prime through the years. In the past 10 years or so hasbro and takara have stepped up their efforts in producing great transformers. Optimus always has to be on of the best made and for good reason, he's the most popular. Out of the list above, which optimus prime action figure do you think is the best?

If there are any variants of the primes listed that you like please list is and choose the original version of the variant you think is the best.

classics, masterpiece and revoltech all look good

my favourite is revoltech based on the picture

Is this even a contest ? Masterpiece all the way.

Then, there's a loooooong space followed by Classics.

the 90s series had more bad episodes than good ones

Isn't the 2007 Movie Voyager the exact same as the Target Exclusive "Robo-vision"? If so, I think they only have minor variations. But that one is definetely my favorite. I got my first set of Transformer toys today. Robo-vision OP and Leader Megatron. Megatron is easily one of the coolest toys I have ever got. He is so intimidating.

1. Masterpiece
2. Movie '07 Prime (Leader)
3. RID
4. Classics
5. Revoltech

In that order.

classics, masterpiece, warwithin and revoltech are the ones I like the most.

One should point out for those who don't know - The Revoltech one doesn't transform.

Same here. I've got 4 versions. 2 Takara (one MIB and one open) and 2 Hasbro (same).

i'd pick revoltech but it can't transform.

masterpiece, then by default.

LOL, Energon Optimus is a fatty. :D

Anyway, Masterpiece is definitely the Cadillac of Optimus Prime figures. Too bad that at $80-100 he's beyond what I can justify spending on a toy. It'd be sweet to have him and Masterpiece Megatron sitting on my bookshelf, but if I did that I think I'd be graduating a bit later (college doesn't pay for itself). :(

i'm gonna get the 20th anniversary prime at amazon for $65 with free shipping.

that's actually a really nice deal.

$65 is reasonable. However, I know that Masterpiece Megatron could not be that cheap since he never even got an official US release, and never will, so long as that stupid toy gun law exists. And 20th Anniversary / Masterpiece OP would get lonely without his arch nemesis. :(

i agree.

but i'd rather have prime without megs than neither! :ninja:

I've got R.I.D., I just cant find all those extra pieces that make him look better. I'm gonna have to go with Masterpiece.

I'm gonna go against the grain and say the $9.99 ARMADA Prime...codenamed BENDY PRIME!!

that looks gross.

masterpiece prime is the s***.

i agree.

True, but for about $80 I can get movie leader Optimus Prime and Megatron (who can be repainted). Certainly not as glorious a prize as the Masterpiece versions by any means, but for me, it's a lot easier a pill to swallow than spending up to $240 (or more w/ shipping) on two action figures, no matter how awesome they are.
