What bugs me is it seems like New yorkers are so into their own world.. I dunno I guess its due to the place being so large and an island, and plus a lot of people don't own cars they just use public transportation so maybe they stay within their own area more often than a lot of people.

You guys do come across as kinda arrogant and not really understanding of other ways of life. Not that there aren't a lot of rednecks here like that its just New York City is supposd to be "better".

I don't think the city or that I (speaking for myself) think I'm "better" than anyone else..... it's just there's so much going on around the city... that living here you experience so much that in a bad way you become jaded. I think that's what NY can do sometimes... make people jaded because there is so much to do here...

And again speaking for myself... I read a lot... A LOT about the history of the city so when I talk about my home I talk about it with pride. NY in the beginning was meant to be a trading post.. not the "greatest city in the world".

lol... if you read the posts... you'll see that it's a lot of talk about what's going on in and around the city...

I don't think I've read a post stating superiority.... not yet at least.


Besides.. Holly made a "chicago" thread and no one's seen it in months. Make a thread about your own hometown and see who else posts.
