I believe we do Max.. I definitely do. :(

its just the parial right now for some of the outlying busses.
they've bought themselves till monday night, right?

I heard tuesday at midnight

that's plenty of time for them to finish this bull****.

I'm hungover. :(

hah.

damn, this SUCKS for kritic. I was talking to him last night about it last night.
Frist time in the city he might not be able to go anyhwere...and they'll be going
on strike JUST as he arrives.

it may not happen... I mean they have 5 days to work this thing out....

the city has too much to lose if they strike... something like 350 million in business a week or something like that.

Bloomberg was there at negotiations till 6AM.

Honestly I just want this thing to end... last night my friend and I raced to the subway cause we thought the subways were gonna shut down at midnight.

hahahaahaha....
yeah. i hope, for all you guys, they work it out.

Jesus, Red, don't believe every flamin' story ya hear! We don't have every day outbreaks of gang violence, yer not gonna get robbed as soon as you get off th' plane, nobody's gonna drive-by you 'cause yer walkin', etc.

NYC is a city like any other city. It has crime like any other city. It has dangers like any other city. If you keep focusin' on all th' bull**** on TV, Movies or in th' media yer never gonna enjoy ANYWHERE ya go! An' not fer nuttin', keep in mind all th' news reports is th' bad **** 'cause nobody cares about th' good.

Just keep yer eyes open, stay out of dark alleys at night, an' look both ways before crossin'...especially in Manhattan. That's it. All ya need to survive NYC.

As fer this strike, this is basically th' same **** they do every year. They sayd midnight deadline, they go on over th' time, some small strikes here an' there, then by Monday it's all resolved. I'd be impressed if they stray from th' script this year.

god I really feel like crap this morning. :(

I got home just after 1AM last night drunk as hell, disappointed sorta... and I ate 4 hot pockets before going to bed.

I feel like I wanna throw up now. :(

what is it abot drunkenness and hot pockets?
Our old roommate was a total lush and the only thing he ever ate was a once a week domino's pizza, and the other 6 days was nothing but hot pockets.

Hot Pockets are like ambrosia. They're complete meals in convenient hand held edible packages.

I live on that **** like Chef Boyardee an' mac an' cheese.

it's the food of the gods.. when you're too drunk to cook or turn on an oven... pop them in the microwave and in 4 minutes you have a meal.

I can live on hot pockets the rest of my life... they're a bachelor's lifeline.

Screw this strike.... as a commuter who works in NY these guys are screwing with my money.

I looked at the MTA salary's the lowest paid employees the cleaners make 45,000 a year.... a teacher's starting salary in NY is 40,000. Give me a break with this strike nonsense.

Anyway....its partial for now.

Now look at the highest employees and tell me what they make.
Now factor in whatever bonuses they get that are "off the books" and compare it to whatver bonuses those lower paid wokrers get.
Now find out how much money the MTA makes each year.

I don't care if they're making ok money. we all should be doing better.
If they're willing to fight for it i say more power to them.
They're being made into scape goats well all they want is a fairer
breakdown of the profits.
We should all be fighting for that kind of equity at every job. everywhere.

I knew they weren't gonna go on a strike...wussies.

Around 60 Thousand dollars... A teacher would need 10-15 years to have that starting salary.

A fairer break of the profits to destroy the city.

How much money will I be compensated for with this strike...absolutely nothing.

Getting a six percent raise instead of a 8 percent raise is truly a horror.

Plus, what of those in the Union...that are content with their jobs & forced to strike or essentialy be scabs. I've been part of that type of union & it doesn't help me.
