Around 60 Thousand dollars... A teacher would need 10-15 years to have that starting salary.

A fairer break of the profits to destroy the city.

How much money will I be compensated for with this strike...absolutely nothing.

Getting a six percent raise instead of a 8 percent raise is truly a horror.

Plus, what of those in the Union...that are content with their jobs & forced to strike or essentialy be scabs. I've been part of that type of union & it doesn't help me.

hey if the higher-ups took massive pay CUTS , that returned them to FAIR (still massive, but FAIR) annual wages, no one would be in this mess.

sooo.....according to the news 3 minutes ago, it looks like the strike is ON!

booyah!

Screw this strike.... as a commuter who works in NY these guys are screwing with my money.

I looked at the MTA salary's the lowest paid employees the cleaners make 45,000 a year.... a teacher's starting salary in NY is 40,000. Give me a break with this strike nonsense.

Anyway....its partial for now.

as the saying goes... those who can, do....

This strike is not funny to me...I'm losing a Days pay over this strike & maybe more.

My job is based on mass transit.

I feel you. used to live in the city and take mass transit. hell, I walked to/from work during the last strike, the blackout, and 9/11-- no picnic. part of why I got the hell out of the city-- not worth the hassle anymore. prices keep rising while pay keeps falling.

holy crap. im just watching the news, 100's of people in lines for taxis. Cars in dead stop from 96th up past 130th.

Anyone walking to the bronx from downtown manhattan? Who's with me!? Cmon!!

Nah, quite alright. I don't need to be in Manhattan till th' 5th.

LIRR is still running, so if I need to get to the city, it doesn't matter

****!****MOTHER****ING ****!!!!*****Es!!!!!!!!!

I guess I'm failing,oh well.:(

No,they said strike or no strike, finals will go on as scheduled.
