California. San Francisco Bay area, to be more specific.

I'd definitely recommend it.

NDX where do you teach?

i went to stuyvesant highschool
I'm currently teaching in John Adams high school, but it's only for 7 weeks. Then I will be moving on to an elementary school for the rest of my "On Site Training" as it is.

I went to Forest Hills High many many moons ago.

Went to Pizza Bar last night. Kinda groovy. Interesting pizza choices. The cheesburger pizza was probably the best out of the ones I had; though the lobster and bacon was pretty damned good, too.

I'm going out to Santa Monica for college and dorming there. Tired of the coldness and snow here.

what are you talking about? this winter sucked?

no one here remembers the blizzard of 96... it was so bad that you couldn't see cars anymore.

This passed snow storm we had was only about 4 inches shy of beating the 96' record.

And i'm just tired of it in general.. if I can escape it for good, i'm gonna' try. This winter has been whacky with it being 50 degrees one day then 30 the next.

So I'm going to be popping into New York for the first time in my life later this month.

cool... first thing you should do is get a good old geniune new york hot dog from mid town!

Definitely looking forward to that, as well as some genuine NY pizza. Which way to Sbarro's?

Kidding, of course.

NY has actually always been my dream city since I was young, but I just never got around to it, mostly because of price. Then I got into France and all that, and NY just sort of got put out of my mind for a while. But now I've got a free place to crash in NY, the french stuff is on the backburner, and I'm rediscovering my excitement over NY. I'm absolutely psyched. The bar prices are probably going to sap out some of that excitement though.

hopefully whoever's place you're crashin at knows NY very well, and can tell you where to get the best NY pizza ever
