I was thinking that the Batman franchise is quite possibly the BIGGEST star-powered franchise in motion picture history. What other series of movies has anything to possibly beat this list? The funny thing is that all of those actors actually agreed to do those last two movies. It's really an incredible list:

Michael Keaton
Jack Nicholson
Kim Basinger
Jack Palance
Billy Dee Williams
Michael Gough
Pat Hingle
Michelle Pheiffer
Danny DeVito
Christopher Walken
Val Kilmer
Jim Carrey
Tommy Lee Jones
Nicole Kidman
Chris O'Donnell
Arnold Shwarzennegger
Uma Thurman
Alicia Silverstone
George Clooney
Christian Bale
Liam Neeson
Morgan Freeman
Gary Oldman
Michael Caine
Katie Holmes
Ken Watanabe
Cillian Murphy
Tom Wilkinson
Rutger Hauer

I guarantee you there is not one other movie franchise that could possibly beat this list. No matter how much the previous movies are hated, you can't help but be in awe of the list. It beats all other super-hero franchises. Batman is by far the biggest-scaled super-hero franchise of all time. Yes, it beats Superman. Nothing will ever beat it.

In terms of star power, no doubt. But what do you mean biggest scaled?

Hooray!

But let see how many of those people helped screw it up:up:

You know, come to think of it, you may be right! I can't think of any other franchise with more stars.

P.S. You missed a few names:

Drew Barrymore
Vivica A Fox
Elle Macpherson ;)

It wasn't actors fault that Batman movies sucked.it's directors, writers and wB. Actors were told how to play these chacaters right or wrong.

No, they didn't. Schumacher is another story. If anyone should be mentioned in the same line with 'sucked', it's him.

Yeah the only director that DIDN'T screw it up was Nolan.Batman Begins is the one and ONLY true Batman movie. The others need to be burned.

Begins is the only true Batman movie?

Are you saying the previous ones are unofficial? ;)

You are like a bad rash that just won't go away. :o:down

Well, The Godfather, has a pretty impressive cast. Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, etc.

What sad. So many great actors and all those movies sucked so bad except batman begins. Great actors doesnt mean great movie.

I completely agree with the original post. I don't think there's ever been a franchise in film history that can come close to matching the number of recognizable stars who've appeared throughout the franchise.
