Sequels The Black Suit in The Amazing Spider-Man 3?

If they decide to go with the symbiote again critics and haters of this franchise will look at a picture of Andrew Garfield wearing the Black Suit and start ripping the movie apart even before its released and start calling it a rip off of Spider-Man 3 even if Spider-Man 3 wasnt as good as it should be people will still say Sam Rami has already done it Do you think they would go that route again?

Yep, that'll give more ammunition to critics to call it rehash. And let's be honest lots of things in TASM franchise is just that, like origin story, "overdeveloped" love story, "underdeveloped" villains, teary eyed Parker, the Goblin, etc.
So I say leave black suit and romance out of TASM3 and focus on the villain.

Seriously Gwen's death makes so many plot points work. Just off the top of my head

-Peter/Goblin revenge story, Peter revenge story all up. You could have him going after all the people that killed the people he loved, that is, both Goblins (Norman and Harry) and Ben's killer

-Myterio: Imagine this, could be an emotional rollercoaster, if people were fine with mysterio being retconned slightly you could even make him a primarily pyschological villian, who is just hell bent on using the weakness' of others against them, clearly Gwen's death would just be huge as a catalyst to plunge Peter into some sort of depression.

Obviously the black suit ties in to all of these darker themes, I could really see a dark spiderman film happening, working and making sense contextually for the first time on screen. Basically Peter sad=Black suit.

I'm pretty pumped for the next film if they go on this dark path, it could actually be something everyone could get behind. Also is a catalyst for MJ to make her debut in the series, as the light at the end of the film that drags Peter out of his rough patch, makes him ditch the suit, it finds venom (flash?) and bang, TASM4 is all set up.

The Sinister Six movie is making it kind of hard to speculate. If that wasn't coming out then I'd imagine TASM3 would have Spidey battling the Sinister Six while wearing the black suit, leading to Venom in TASM4. I have no idea when the Sinister Six movie is supposed to come out and whether or not Spidey is in it so it's hard to say.

I've always loved the outer space angle for the symbiote and I'd like to see that used again here,but it seems as if they would got the Ultimate route and have Oscorp create the symbiote. It's been hinted at alot in ASM 2.

Since they have no time to do a Cosmic War, the whole moon fragment storyline seen in the '90s animated series would be a good fit. They better set it up for Venom for the fourth or else... I quit.

I kind of want the Black Suit saved till the 4th film now. I would rather see Green Goblin and Chameleon (or Mysterio) screwing with Peter's head in the 3rd film. MJ and Black Cat love triangle. Peter must decide who to love and trust.

They could though introduce Brock in the 3rd along with the Daily Bugle but I would save him for just a cameo and then build upon his character in the 4th.

I've always seen(and wanted) the Black cat and the symbiote in one film. Black cat could bring out Spidey's darker side,and he would go along with that considering he has the symbote.

I think it would be awesome if the symbiote would be introduced in The Amazing Spider-Man 3. For example it could crash to Earth at the beginning of the movie, and Peter could bond with it accidentally while rescuing the astronauts of the shuttle crash. While doing battle with the villains in the third movie Peter could learn with the aid of Connors that it's a living organism that's wanting to take control. Brock would have to be introduced over the course of the movie. So at the end of the third movie we could have this scene in a church where Peter gets rid of the symbiote which will cause the birth of Venom who would be the villain in the fourth movie.

I really hope it is. The third movie curse is only a problem when the second movie is considered superior to the first. Usually after two positive outings, good isn't good enough, and great is only okay. Take Iron Man 3 for example, though many comic book fans hated it, critics and general audiences found it a pleasant surprise after Iron Man 2. Take the dark knight rises too, it was easily on par with batman begins, but it didn't top the dark knight so it felt like a bit of a let down. I'd say this movie has the odds in its favor with the poor reception of the current film

I'm just not that confident that this creative team could handle the black suit slash Venom saga. They've derailed the Osborn family/ Goblin Saga in one film so I'd be very wary of trying to give them an even more complicated story.

While I agree with the fan consensus that now would be an ideal time to explore the symbiote , I wouldn't give a vote of confidence for the current team to do a much better job then Raimi did. In fact, under the current Sony plans , i'd expect them to cut corners even more given all the characters and world building stuff they're trying to do.
