Yeah, wiegabo, you're definitely gonna have to explain that one.

This is not my riddle, so I'm still confused by a couple of things as well. But here's how most stuff fits.

Everyone knows me. (Kinda of obvious)

Once it was rumored a man drank his fill of me, much to his regret. (During the Roman Empire, Krasis poisoned himself drinking liquid gold)

Others prefer me in small doses for small ills. (gold is used in small doses to treat arthritis)

Some describe me as the sky (golden sky), the land (a golden land), an age (the golden age), a tongue (can reference an ancient language, or mean golden tongue much like a silver tongue), fire, bird, fish (a goldfish), flower.

I am captive, I am free. (captive in mines, running free in streams)

Worshiped and lost, loved and eschewed, pure and corrupt, black and white. (all either descriptions of gold, people's feelings about it, or what it can do to people)

I am found in the deepest well, and on the highest mountain. (gold can pretty much be found anywhere on the planet, not necessarily in large amounts)

I am animal, vegetable, mineral. (this one has me a little stumped too)

oo and there is snow on mountains and according to some site on google a very trace amount of gold can be found in almost all naturally source water (seas rivers springs ect) theyre actually trying to find a way to extract the gold from water

Riddle:

Two silblings, twins, arrive in the early morn'.
But the second child is older than the first one born.

Does this riddle have something to do with the other siblings that aren't twins?

They are in a different time zone?So technically one of them gets to lets say September the 23-th first so therefore he is older a day.

EDIT: Did you mean by arrive, being born?

If they're paternal twins, one may have been formed as a zygote before the other, even if he'd been physically born after the later-fertilized twin.

Oooh, I know, the first baby was coming out sideways and got caught, so they did an emergency c-section taking out the younger baby first, then taking out the baby that got caught! :D

A Man on a horse rides into town on monday stayed three days and left on tuesday.

What walks on four legs in the morning, two legs at mid-day, and three legs in the evening?

Most of you should know this.

Comparing times of day to the life cycle.

Morning-Baby

Mid Day-Adult

Evening- Elderly person

which would mean night is death.

So..a person.

Is it a person? I remember hearing something like this in elementary school where a person crawls on all fours as a baby, then walks on two legs in the main middle part of their lives, then when they're old they walk but use a cane (3 legs)...I hope that made sense.
